Computers for public use

We are staying at POR this September and I was wondering if there were any computers for public use anywhere on WDW property. If you wanted to check your email or access a website during your vacation, where would you go?

DH participates in a Fantasy Football League and needs to submit a team lineup every week. A computer might save a lengthy telephone call to the "commissioner" of the league.

Re: Computers for public use

We used the computers at DTD inside Disney Quest to check our email. There is a lounge on one of the floors. Sometimes you have to wait for one if its busy. I really don't now if there are any others available.

Not really sure I usually bring my personal laptop, since there are wireless connections at the resorts

I'd suggest a laptop if you have one, if not I know they are at Disney Quest.

Alas, we do not have a laptop....only a desktop....and I think the airline would charge us an extra baggage fee if we brought it.

Then your only option would be your hotel's business center.

Just an idea, but you could see about text messaging his line-up? Don't know if it's too long, but thought I would just throw the idea out there.

Do all the resorts have a business center?

Re: Computers for public use

Found this just now. Hope it helps:

Remember the days when a vacation meant leaving the office/business behind? Neither do we. For those times when you have to take care of matters when you're at Disney World, the following resorts have business centers:
Disney's Boardwalk Inn/Villas

Disney's Contemporary Resort

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Disney's Yacht Club

Swan and Dolphin Hotels: These locations also have well equipped business centers. Since these hotels are not owned by Disney, they will have a different fee schedule from what appears below.
The hours vary and tend to mirror a traditional workday. Here's are the services offered at the Disney resort business centers:

Re: Computers for public use

There used to be like an e-mail phone type thingy in the lobby at POR near the rest rooms and bar. You could put dollars in for so many minutes and that was quite good for email. But they have been long gone.
The only public place I know of is Disney Quest right up at the top floor.
