I "accidently" booked a sooner trip!

Whoops! So, we were planning a 7 day PC for Jan which would have been a year from the last trip. ( New rule is once a year reunion with the mouse.)

Then, I called to see the prices for another adult/child to come along and found out accidently that I could stay at ASM instead of PC for $500 cheaper- same dates 9-16th in December. A savings of free park tickets for me and DD. Airfare is actually $100 cheaper EACH for a direct flight.

I have until tonight to cancel the airline tickets. Any thoughts on the timing of this trip? Never been during Dec. and a little scared about crowds. Never been to ASM although, we have never tried PC either!

Obviously it will be cheaper but will the crowds outweigh the savings? I really like walking on rides like we do in Jan. Stamp of approval or should I keep the Jan dates?

Dec. 9-16 is about when I went many years ago...the crowds were light, which was nice, the weather was decent, but the Decorations made the trip. It was beautiful.

I think AllEars may have the park crowd level thingy....I think that is a slow time...it picks up after the 20th, is my recollection.

Either sounds great - We love Pop Century, but really liked ASM as well, and for $500 less, I would LOVE ASM!

LOL about LOVING ASM! I totally agree! We were really looking forward to PC though... Nothing we can't get over!
The mouse gets my money either way but that is alot of extra Mickey bars we could get!

Not sure about Dec 9-16, but we went the week prior last year and crowds were minimal. Sounds to me like it would be worth it!

I love the all star resorts.. I've stayed at the All Star Movies and love it!!

I think it is a great idea to move the trip if you can. The crowds will be low due to the fact that kids have not started winter break yet, and you will be able to experience WDW in all of its Christmas decoration glory!

I have stayed at AS Music and I really liked it.

I think your timing is great- anything after 12/16 will start to bring in the crowds!

Actually the time you are going is very good! It will start to get a little more crowded the later in the trip but you've picked a good time to go. We've been there at that time before and we loved it. The lightish crowds combined with the cool weather was wonderful!

Don't cancel the trip. The crowds are small still and the weather is better than in Jan, plus the decorations are beautiful. You love it.

I would grab the chance to save money AND see the Christmas deco. How lucky you are to be fortunate enough to travel this time of year-no corwds and cool temp. outside.

That is a great time to go....low attendance before the Christmas rush. I remember while working at EPCOT managment always tried to get people to use up any vacation days
or personal days the first 2 weeks of Dec as it was considered down time before Christmas.

I would jump on this opportunity. I think it will be crowds will be good, and the parks will be all decorated for Christmas, which is beautiful.

We were down last year for just that weekend, and there are crowds. We did need FP for the popular rides like Space, TOT and RnR C. But I would go down again!! The parks are all decorated along with the hotels! I would go! Have a wonderful time!!
