Is there a Grocery store that delivers...

Hi all,
Just wondering if there is a grocery store that Delivers to WDW resorts? Does anyone know how it works? I'll be taking the ME so I will not be able to swing by a store and pick up stuff.

www.gardengrocer.com

They charge a $12 delivery fee and you have to give them a 2-hour window to come. We are looking at using them on our upcoming trip, so I can't give you any reviews, but I'm sure someone around here has used them before.

We used Gardengrocer last trip and it was great. Their prices seem about what we are used to paying and the savings of having water and other drinks and snacks handy at 'home' far outweighed the cost of delivery. We will definitely use them again.

I was looking at Garden Grocer - are the prices the same as those at the store? I thought they might be high.

The prices for Zephyrhills water are pretty competitive with Publix. Same goes for Constant Comment tea and Nestle's hot cocoa. Snack cakes too.
This was just a quick look at Garden Grocer's site. Looks like you aren't paying much of a premium, if any on the actual merchandise at Garden Grocer.

do I have to be there to accept the delivery - or can the front desk hold it for us? How far in advance do I have to place an order for delivery?

The front desk can accept the delivery for you and they will refrigerate it as well.

Their website says please allow at least 24 hours

Wegoshop is another option. We used them in May and we're very pleased with the service. We got a receipt from the store so we knew we were not over charged. I believe we piad $17 on a $200+ dollar order.

wow, I just emailed the Garden Grover, to make sure they still had openings to make a delivery on Sept. 25th and they emailed me right back and it's 9:45pm. I didn't expect to get an answer until tomorrow.

I'll be placing an order tomorrow when my son is awake to pick out the snacks he wants.

Hmmmmmm.
How about a FW delivery...to a camper? I'm liking the idea of not having to travel from MI to FL with cans and boxes shoved in cracks and crevices. No exploded surprises when we set up our "home" for the holidays. And no dreadful shopping and packing of food? Just clothes?

Hmmmmmm.

I know they deliver to all the resorts, so I cant see why not. If you buy $200 worth of stuff the delivery is free. If you want something not listed on their site (for example,beer) you can add it to the comments section. It really is conveinent.

Thanks for the GardenGrocer tip!!! I was thinking about how we were going to get a supply of water to our room without renting a car so this was really helpful!!!

Another option is Gooding's, a local supermarket that has a delivery option.

Gooding's method of delivery is different from Garden Grocer and WeGoShop. Gooding's delivers directly to Bell Services ... they don't even schedule a delivery time for you to meet them, and they don't even try to get it directly to you. Bell Services takes the delivery, and then contacts you. If you're not in your room, no problem! They store it for you, and even keep the cold stuff cold. Bell Services leaves a message for you ... you call them back when you're good and ready, and then they deliver to you.

Garden Grocer will deliver via this method, but only upon request.

No matter who you use, put in your order ASAP. They have finite availability, and if they sell out then you're out of luck.
