Disney Visa Oct-Dec Free Dining Offer

I haven't seen this posted yet, so just in case.....
I can't believe it!!! I just called and was able to apply this to my POP portion of my stay 11/20-11/24. Free dining, I've never been able to go during free dining I am beside myself with excitement!!!!!!

from Mousesavers:
Disney Visa October-December FREE Dining Package
PLEASE NOTE: This offer will not be bookable until Thursday, September 18.

Disney Rewards® Visa® Cardholders can get FREE Dining AND a room discount when you book a full price Walt Disney World vacation package for check-ins most nights 9/28/08-10/11/08, 11/9/08-11/22/08, 12/14/08-12/20/08. FREE Dining has never been offered during this time period in the past, and never with a room discount, so this is a phenomenal offer!

Purchase a Magic Your Way package consisting of at least 3 consecutive hotel nights at an official Walt Disney World resort, plus at least 1-day Magic Your Way Base Ticket per person, and you will get the regular Dining Plan for FREE, for the length of your stay.

The FREE Dining portion of this deal saves a family of four (2 adults, two kids ages 3-9) $95.96 per day -- the cost of adding the regular Dining Plan to a basic vacation package. In addition, there is a discount on the room rate, which I estimate at about 20%.

If you have enjoyed this offer in the past, be aware of a few changes: Disney no longer includes an appetizer with table service meals on the regular Dining Plan. Also, gratuities are no longer included at table service meals, but they are included at the dinner shows (Hoop Dee Doo, Spirit of Aloha Luau and Mickey’s Backyard BBQ) as well as with Room Service and Grand Gathering Experiences.

Some important advice if you book a "FREE Dining" package: be sure to set up Advance Dining Reservations as soon as possible. In past years all of the table service restaurants have been completely full during the "FREE Dining" promotion period. It was almost impossible to get a table for a full-service meal on a walk-up basis. To ensure that you will be able to enjoy all the benefits of the Dining Plan, you really need to pre-reserve every single table service meal during your stay.

The number of packages available is limited. Suites are excluded from this offer. No group rates or other discounts apply.

PLEASE NOTE: This offer will not be bookable until Thursday, September 18.

To book the special Disney Visa October-December FREE Dining package, please contact a travel agent who specializes in Disney travel, and request offer code QXZ.

Re: Disney Visa Oct-Dec Free Dining Offer

Wow. Good luck to you. There are so many discounts out there but it seems like I'm just not getting any. The Polynesian won't apply the discount that would save me about a $100. a night on my 11 night stay. I tried to book another reservation to apply the discount and then cancel the 1st reservation, but there's no avail rooms at the Poly. What a nightmere...Today is the 3rd day that me and my TA will be trying to get me my discount.

Hmm, it seems like this was an email code first, then Disney Visa, wonder if they will offer it to the general public next.

Re: Disney Visa Oct-Dec Free Dining Offer

I haven't even gotten the e-mail about it.
Shame they don't have dates between Oct 18 and 24. I might be able to use Dec 14 though.
Oh wait, never mind. It's a three day minimum with MYW ticket package, not what I need.

I feel your pain ! After our 4 nights at POP we are staying at the Poly for 6 nights. I haven't been able to use any code at all for that part of the trip. Since the Fall Discount came out I've been calling every day and nothing. I have a feeling it was never offered at the Poly (but that's just my opinion ) or any monorail resort. I do feel much better knowing that I got a discount on the first part of our trip. We were figuring $300 OOP for dining and now it's free!

Good luck and keep trying!

Re: Disney Visa Oct-Dec Free Dining Offer

They actually list the Polynesian Gardenview room this time for dates of check-in 9/28/08-10/11/08....My dates at the Poly are 10/2/08-10/12/08 so it clearly fits in. WDW keeps telling my TA and me that the Poly is not one of the resorts offered in the deal...ALTHOUGH it's listed on mousemisers.com, mousesavers.com and wdw.com....I did get a partial discount off the room prior but it was only 20% and only on select dates because of black out dates. Only $480 back on the room and NO FREE dining.

Alaine, did you try calling WDW central reservations yourself?
See if you get a different story.

Re: Disney Visa Oct-Dec Free Dining Offer

Yes...last night after my TA told me everything, just to see if it's true I called them directly. I also tried online to book it but it says no rooms available during my stay. I'm going to try again in awhile. My 1st thought was, travel agents work on commission so if I get a lesser rate then her commission would be less. Would a TA do that? My husband thinks so. Maybe, but I don't think she would. She's been doing my moms, aunts, cousins trips for years and she knows that. If she screwed me then she would lose alot of clients.Just tried again. No rooms avail @Poly for this Promo. They have GF rooms for $330 a night. Hmmm, something to think about.

Wow! This free dining thing must be working for Disney. We are actually going on one of the in-between times - hope that does not mean that Oc 15-23 is a busy time!

Re: Disney Visa Oct-Dec Free Dining Offer

We got the info about Disney offering free dining in early December...and were soooo bummed! Of all the years, it had to happen this year! ( I will be far too pregnant to fly at that point - not to mention enjoy much of anything that requires walking around.)

I really really hope they offer it in Dec again next year, because that's the time of year we desperately want to go!

Re: Disney Visa Oct-Dec Free Dining Offer

I'm so new to all these codes & such; but I guess it can't hurt to call Disney & ASK, right? Even though we made our reservations thru a TA????

We're staying at GF; a once in a lifetime for us - but if I can save a few dollars DH will be SO HAPPY with me!!!

Thanks for the post!
