Storm Along Bay rehab @ Yacht/Beach Clubs
Didn't they just go through a huge rehab a few years ago??
>>Stormalong Bay will be refurbished from January 5 – April 15, 2009. Sections of the feature pool will be closed. You may continue to use the three leisure pools located throughout the resort. Additionally, the feature pool at Disney's BoardWalk Resort will be available for Yacht and Beach Club guests. << I know about the "quiet" pool at each resort (YC/BC), but what and where is the third leisure pool at the YC/BC |

I don't remember a major pool rehab at Yacht and Beach Club. There is a quiet pool at the DVC resort.

They redid the entire pool not to very long ago. >>There is a quiet pool at the DVC resort.<< Humm... I thought it was ONLY for DVC guests??? I'd be a bit upset if I were them and "I" showed up <g>. They do pay for the privilege and they deserve that privilege. And I'm not a DVC member either. Frank |

Frank, that was what struck me about the rehab announcement, I also recall a rehab few years ago. I wonder if the unique nature of this pool (sand) requires more extensive maintenance more often.

That may be it. If I remember correctly, didn't they either have, or consider having fish in that pool so you could swim with the fish??? they had Bubbles too, by the slide end. Not sure if that's working or not. Really neat pool concept though. Maybe after almost 20 yrs, it's showing the strain?? I still have a pic on my desk at the office I took from where we always sat at the pool when the kids were young. Great memories. Frank |
