Contemporary Resort to MK / Walk around the world

Does anyone know, it is possible to walk from the Contemporary Resort to the Magic Kingdom? On a related note, how far can one actually go on the Walk around the World? I've never personally gone on it, but the last time I saw it ('99), it wasn't connected to anything that I could see. Thanks!

It can be done very easily, it is only about a .5 mile walk almost right under the Monorail. It is almost just as fast as the Monorail, because at the Contp. the Resort Monorail goes in the direction of the TTC and Poly.

I don't know what you mean about walking around the world? Do you mean around the lake?

:)

I believe the walkway goes from just past the Magic Kingdom, where the water parade entrance is, to just past the ticket and transportation center, on the Contemporary side of the lagoon. The original plan was to have the walkway surround the lagoon and follow the monorail path, but for now, the bricks are no longer being sold. I was told that they will resume selling them one day, and the path will be completed.

Yes, the selling of bricks has been stopped, they stopped selling them in late 2000 if I remember correctly.

Personally, I haven't heard any plans to resume selling the bricks, but that may very well be the case. Any way to make more $$$ I guess. ;)
