room request

We were in disney two years ago at All Star Movies and we were very happy with the room we had. And since we are going back next month, I am wondering how I would go about requesting the same room we had before, if possible

The best you can do is call CRO and tell them about your request, then mention it again at check-in. They won't promise you anything ahead of time, but they will do their best to make you happy.:o :o :) :)

You can always request any room you want. I have always requested a particular area of a resort, and have always been put in that area. I don't think you will get lucky enough to have the exact same room, but you will get close.

Sure, you can request any room you want by calling CRO now and they will note it on your reservation.

You can also call All Star Movies directly at (407) 939-7000 no more than 2-3 days before you arrive and ask for the room controller. Be as nice as you can and ask very sweetly if you could have a certain room.

OR, you can fax a request to ASMo at (407) 939-7111 no more than 2-3 days before your arrival date and Attn: Room controller. Be sure to include your reservation number and just like the phone call above, state your reasons for wanting a particular room and to continue the magic in a big way, could you please assign that room to me! Or something to that effect.
;)

HTH and good luck! :)

Niki

Niki...
I was wondering how you liked your stay at BWV this month? Is it really true that you send room requests to the room controller? Who is that and what job do they do? (stupid question, I know) Has that technique worked for you?

Trish,

The best that I can tell, the room controller is the person that assigns the rooms. It's probably quite the puzzle.

On our June 2002 trip, we faxed our 2 requests (non-smoking, certain resort location) to the controller, and we didn't get either of our requests - so it's not a sure thing.

I've heard 2 tips about faxing. First is to do the fax 2 days before you arrive. If you send too early, you won't be in the controller's system yet. And too late is...well, too late. The second tip is to be sure to clearly prioritize your list. The rumor had been that Disney was trying very hard to fill all #1 requests, but that they were virtually ignoring everything after the first...

We also faxed our room request to the room controller 3 days before our trip this past June. When we checked in, the CM did confirm that they received our request and they were able to accomodate 2 of our 3 requests - so that's not too bad.:)

We e-mailed the concierge at the Polynesian about a week prior to our trip and got the exact room we requested! They followed up with a phone call to see if there was anything we needed. What great service!!!! The Polynesian Concierge staff was exceptionally great!
