I LOVE the online ADR option. I like being able to take my time, change my mind, and peruse for as long as I want online. I always feel like I'm taking up the CM's time when I have him/her on the phone...and I'm trying to make a decision about the options. They're always more than patient and very helpful...but I really love this option now! Wish they had done it years ago!

Thanks, I finally figured that out last night and got the HDDR res. We need to cancel another right now (Cal. Grill) and I found you have to do that by phone, I guess since it's CC guaranteed.

I totally enjoy speaking with a CM rather than booking everything on the computer. It just makes me feel better.

I am sure in time the on line ressies and ADR's will be more convenient and I will probably try it on our next trip. We'll see.

We did use the on line check in for our trip in May and it was awesome experience.

We did 'on line check in' in March for Pop Century and May for Ft. Wilderness. We always make our reservations by phone. Within 10 days of our reservation date I do the 'on line' check in. When you get to the resort you still talk to a CM but the line is real short if any. At Ft. Wilderness we still had to sit in line with the rest of the motor homes that didn't do the 'on line' check in.

I like the option. Disney Dining had gotten so bad they needed something like this. It seems like everything we heard lately was people complaining about rude CM's, or CM's who didn't seem to know their stuff.
I think having this, like Mickeysgirlz said, will allow the CM's to be able to do their job better. I think the "real people" will always be a Disney option. I like calling but I think I'd rather turn on some Disney music and make ADRs myself. I really like to look at all my options and think about things rather than be on the spot.
I haven't tried online check in yet but it's my understanding you still talk to a CM right? I would rather have a quick check in and get to my room or the parks than stay and wait in line for 45 minutes only to have to sit with a CM for another 45 minutes while he gets everything straight. (Ok..I'm exaggerating slightly..but I have had loooooonnnggg waits at check ins before. Sometimes it's five seconds but sometimes it's not).

It will be our first trip to Disney. I like the idea of online check in, but will it take anything away from my experience or just save the wait time of them getting a package together and setting up my Key to the World?

I didn't really find it to be a big time saver, but the times that I checked in were slow anyway. If there was a big line at the main desk it may have been but...

I don't remember having to wait long to check in in the past either, maybe one or two people in front of me at the most. Checking in is part of the excitement for me so I think I stick to regular check in for now.

Haha..those have always been our longest lines. At POP we've waited over thirty minutes with every station open...more than once! Granted we usually arrive around the same time everyone else does (dinnertime). But at the mods and deluxes we've never had a problem. In fact at OKW we were the only people in the room!

You still see a CM are greeted and spoken too . . . it's just all your stuff is preprinted ready to go.

No more jammed card printers or computer gliches . . . just DONE and waiting for you all neat and tidy!

You still wait on line, it's just the line moves faster!

This weekend when I was checking in to Sports, the online line was moving super fast . . . to the point where this family in the other line got all mad and then tried to step RIGHT IN FRONT of me . . . the CM was like, "sorry folks, this is online check in" (needless to say those people were NOT happy!)

That may be part of it. At WL I don't think we've ever had a family in front of us, we walk right up to a CM. At BC there have been one or two families in front of us but it's never been more than a few minute wait.
