we too loved pop. fun atmosphere all around. and it was very much more families as compared to the other values that tend to be groups of kids...sports, band, cheering whatever..

That's true too: a big plus!!! With the All-Stars, it's basically a 50/50 chance that you'll get stuck standing whenever you get on a bus.

Re: pop century

Stayed at POP several times.....love it! Will stay there again in August. And, yes, the frozen cokes are GONE! Still, a great value resort and lots of fun for the kids.

Re: pop century

We have stayed at Pop 3 times with mo major problems. We always get a preferred room and, if possible, in the 50's buidling side A facing the luggage desk. It is a great location. Close to the pools and food court, but very quiet.

The kids, 3 & 6, love this resort. We liked it much better than All Stars, as far as values go. The food court is always a madhouse, so just come prepared with that in mind.

We are going back next fall and we are staying at POR again, to get that laid back, slower pace type of feeling. Pop is much more high energy.

Have a wonderful time!

Granted, it is a lot newer, but I also think it has to do with the capacity at Pop - I think they get a higher staff-to-guest ratio and as such there is much more attention to maintenance, check-in efficiency, everything.

I don't think you can go wrong, it's a great choice!
I agree POP is better (brighter, bigger, newer) BUT . . . in defense of the All Stars (we stay there a lot on the Fl resident rate) they have all been refurbed, so the rooms are brighter, cleaner with new linens, furniture, etc. AND the food courts are NEVER as crazy at Pop! Also, since I drive to the parks they are closer in. POP is right out there on the edge of the property.

Also, last I heard/saw they now EACH have their OWN bus service. They no longer share, which is a MAJOR plus for those of you using the bus service.

Re: pop century

I stayed there the first two times and to be honest I would have rather been there the last time!!! I just loved the layout (everything is easy and quick to get to), the staff was actually better IMHO then I encountred at CS, and the rooms to me were not a whole lot more different...

If the BC doesn't end up being all it is cracked up to be, then the odds of us going back to PoP are pretty high....
