What is your favorite DVC resort? - Page 2

I have only stayed at SSR and all thought the rooms were nice. The bus system there was horrible. We waited forever for buses, and at night when we would leave parks we would wait forever. I would sometimes see about 6 buses for OKW before i would even see one SSR. I just think they need a lot more buses. However, now that i'm not ranting I'm really looking forward to staying at Kidani Village in a 1 bedroom in a few weeks.

I've always wanted to stay at BCV so I could have 100% access to Stormalong Bay. But BWV is our home resort and our family favorite. There is something more magical than magical in that place -- walking into that lobby for the first time each trip just about brings me to tears.

Our favorite is Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo house units). If you are trying to get the most bang for your buck, book a standard view. Also, 2 studios cost much less then a two bedroom and everyone has their own room that way.

Our standard views all had a view of the pool....I guess you could get a view of parking or trees, but for the price (same or less then OKW) I love the fact that I get the great AKL atmosphere at the OKW price!

Thank you!! I never, ever would have thought of getting two studios! I'm sure we could make do with 2 kitchenettes and if it saves money, it would absolutely be worth it.

I was going to ask how the standard views were at AKV...it's a huge savings over almost any other DVC option, and we know we love AKL! I think this will probably end up being our choice.

We have only stayed at OKW, and we were not impressed. It just didn't seem worth the money. If you can get DVC at AKL for close to the same price, then I would pick AKL in a heartbeat. OKW is a lovely resort, it just didn't do it for us.

That's how we felt about SSR, it's a nice resort but it just didn't fit us.

Thankfully there are so many choices at WDW, that you are bound to find the right fit. :)

We have stayed at BWV, SSR, VWL and OKW. In August we are staying at BCV. All are very special in their own way. Our favorite to date is VWL. We just love the secluded location and the whole feel of the resort. For us, it is the place.

Ive only stayed at 2. SSR and HHI but I do have to say I loved SSR. it was nice and clean. HHI is my favorite but its off Disney property.

Kim, I know how much you love the AK park so I am going to have to suggest staying at Kidani. It's like being at AK everyday. It's GORGEOUS there and has the same vibe and feeling as AK park does. You'll love it.

Favorites are BW, BC, and WL in no particular order as there are great things about all 3! Have stayed at OKW but prefer the others. Never stayed at AKL or SSR but can't wait to stay at BLT this September!!

Thanks Jess! I think you are right - it seems like it would be a perfect fit for us because we love AK sooooo much!

And after seeing pictures of Kidani, I am definitely in love!

There are also DVC units at the Jambo House. My boss just came back from their Disney Cruise a couple weeks ago and stayed at Kadani for one night before the cruise and they said they actually preferred Jambo over Kadani. i haven't seen Kadani yet (except for photos) but I LOVE Jambo with the restaurants, activiites (story telling, night vision, etc) and the HOT Tubs are so relaxing!
