Coronado Spring review
I get the All-Ears newsletter in my E-mail and today they had a HUGE review about the Coronado Springs resort! Too much to cut-and-paste here. They talk about the rooms, restaurants, even walking distances to the buildings down to 1/10th a mile!
I will paste the summary though: I found the staff at Coronado Springs to be exceedingly helpful and accommodating of even some strange requests, and I did not feel that the conventioneers interfered with my enjoyment or detracted from the Disney Magic in any way. In fact, four nights was just not a long enough stay to take advantage of all the amenities this lovely resort has to offer. I never had the chance to try La Vida Health Club, for instance, or have a drink at Francisco's, the spacious lounge located in El Centro. As for my concerns that Coronado Springs' location would be inconvenient, that was definitely not the case -- bus service here was extremely efficient, and getting around was not a problem. Coronado Springs is beautiful resort, with plenty to do, plus a few benefits (the health club, beauty salon, water activities on the lake) that you don't get at the other moderate Disney resorts. I would say that families considering this resort for their next stay do so without hesitation -- I'll certainly consider it for my next trip. I know a few of us will be staying there next time. If you don't get the ALL-EARS newsletter and want the whole article, I would be happy to forward the e-mail to anyone who wants it.

mmouse671, thanks for posting that! We stayed their about 3 weeks ago, and truely loved it!! I would have never known that it was a resort that catered to conventions all we saw were families. This resort was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay there. I highly recommend the Coronado :)

Hey mmouse I was just coming to this forum to post about the article. It is well written and covers so much. It really makes me feel good about my plans to stay there. Also, the suggestions on which buildings to stay in were good. I have heard the earlier in the day you get there the better the chance you have. Anybody else know anything about that?

We enjoyed Coronado also. Every detail was well themed. The food court was unique, and the atmosphere festive. We were there during a convention and never noticed the difference.

One thing I've forgotten to add in my posts about CS is that during my stay there a couple of years ago,we were able to see some of the fireworks from the comfort of the CS swimming pool!!! (I believe it was the quiet pool, not the other one). It was such a pleasure to be able to watch that while floating and knowing I didn't have to face the throngs coming back. Only thing I don't recall was which fireworks those were- whether they were coming from Epcot or Fantasmic.
Enjoy

I am so glad to hear people talking about the CSR. Our family has stayed there numerous times, and just love it !!!:heart In May we stayed for 8 nights, they put us over in the Rancho's , scenery outside our room was so pretty!!! Also, love the Pepper Market. Love the fact that the buses at the CSR, do not share their buses with any other Resorts. This makes it quite conveinent!! It is truely one of our favorites!!!

Also, did you find Rancho's convenient? Did you mind the walk to the Pepper Market? Thanks so much for your input (and any suggestions)!! ![]()

The day we arrived, and heard they were putting us over at the Rancho's I was a little concerned. Because it is a little hike to the Pepper Market, but as the days passed we loved the walk. It was a nice walk, especially in the evening, because this past May was quite hot. Remember one thing, your on vacation, no need to be in a hurry!!! Enjoy yourself!!
As far as the buses go, we seem never to have a problem. CSR has 4 bus stops. Sometimes when the buses come into the Resort area, they go to Bus stop 2 first. If you go to bus stop #1, that could be quite crowded. When we stayed at Rancho's, we were right near bus stop 3, and never had a problem. Good luck, and if you should have anymore questions, please PM or e-mail me. I would be more than happy to try and answer your questions. Again, Good Luck!!:) JOANN ![]()

We just got back from CS this past Tuesday and I must say we really liked the resort. We stayed in the Cabanas, building 9b first floor and we thought it was perfect. it was right between the main pool and the pepper market so it wasn't a long walk to either. We actually requested the exact building and room (via fax) that the Unofficial Guide suggests and we got it. I also highly suggest getting the refillable mugs for the resort, they were worth it. We rented a car so I can't comment on the bus trasportation. We find it so much quicker to get to and from the parks with a car. If anybody has any more specific questions...just ask. :D
