Re: Wilderness Lodge

Ok. So we are going to WL in 8 days. I thought I read somewhere that there was no longer a charge for refrigerators, but DW just started the online checkin and it stated there was a charge.... Can somebody tell me which is it? Seems crazy to pay at WL and get it for free at CBR.....

Re: Wilderness Lodge

There should be one in your room. If for some strange reason it's missing call housekeeping and they will bring one to the room.

Re: Wilderness Lodge

I ain't never been charged for an in room fridge at any deluxe resort.
In fact, every deluxe resort is equipped with one and unlike values, they are always inside a purpose built piece of furniture which usually has storage drawers as well. Usually these are in the foyer between the closets.

I know. I was just confused by the box in the online check in.... Just doesn't seem right to have a box to check (and it states that you will have to pay the additional charge when you get to the resort.

Glad to hear you have never been charged.

Re: Wilderness Lodge

Interesting you say that. I couldn't find the fridge in our room the one time DS and I stayed at the GF. Do they not have them in the concierge level?

Of course they do! I can't imagine the club levels of Poly, Yacht, Beach, AKL, WL, Boardwalk, and Contemporary being equipped and the GF lacking.
Especially with GF being the most expensive of all.
Did you ask any CM where it was?

While we're on the subject, the Grand Californian club level rooms even have a mini bar!

Re: Wilderness Lodge

WL is beyond gorgeous! My Husband and I were married at the Wilderness Lodge in a Disney Fairytale Wedding in 1999. The staff was wonderful. That was the first time I ever received towel animals from Mousekeeping.

It will always be a favorite of mine. We are going back next fall and I would have liked to stay here again, but they do not accommodate 5 people. I highly recommend WL to anyone.

Nice to hear all the great reports we will be staying there in two weeks.
We have been to many resorts but not this one.

Take a look at possibly booking into the DVC villas at WL and then compare that price to what a room at the Poly or Contemporary would cost (You can put 5 adults in their rooms).
WL (as I'm sure I've already said near the top of this thread) is one of my favorites at WDW.

Re: Wilderness Lodge

Believe me , I'm a working slob like most of you guys, but I do work extra hours at the job place just to experience the wonders of staying at a place like the WL! It's a treat that can't be beat! When we are athome and just living life we cut a lot of corners and save the $ just to splurge at a BIGTIME WDW resort. It's worth every penny. My advise is skip a few crummy movies that will be on DVD in a month or so and put the extra coins into your WDW "can't wait to go " account. It works and you won't regret it.
