I have a question for anyone who maybe can help me. I recently saw a promotion going until the end of August for lower prices for on site hotels, i booked a resort magic plan before this promotion came out. I asked disney via e-mail if I could get this price and they answered saying it was different when you book a plan wth them. Does anyone have any suggestion onwhat to do so I can get the reduced rates?

Did you pay them a deposit or pay for the plan in full? You should be able to get your deposit back, and make a new reservation. I would call them directly and try to speak to a couple of people. Make sure you have the codes ready so that you can tell them which deal you want. They don't volunteer codes to anyone, especially those who already have a package booked.

If you paid in full, you are probably out of luck. I have never had a problem changing reservations, you just need to be persistant.

The discount you saw may only be for resort rooms, so you would have to buy your pass separate. Make sure you are getting a better deal before you go an switch your reservations.

hello kelligad! welcome to disney central!......I've stayed at the all star sports about 2 years ago and it was a nice hotel. this is what the descripition disneyworld.com gives you about the all star sports:

Sections are themed around football, baseball, tennis, basketball and surfing. Two pools, one with a baseball theme, the other centered around water sports, provide a fun, family recreation area. This Value Resort also offers a food court, a pool bar, room, even pizza delivery to your room and convenient laundry facilities. Most rooms comfortably accommodate four people.

It is true about the rooms fitting 4 people, but i wouldnt neccisarily (sp?) say comfortably....they are kinda small, but well themed and hey they have 2 queen beds and thats what the hotel room is all about right? it just seems the amount of space in the room is limited. However i do recommend it, it is a very nice and family oriented hotel.
O yeah, and see if u can get a room by the lobby or pool, becuase some rooms can be a 5 or 10 minute walk to the lobby....... When i went it was with my grandma and she has a wheelchair, their room, although on the ground floor was VERY far from the lobby and it took them a while to get to the food court.
O and about the crowd, august is usually considered in the "regular" season, so that means average crowds, you might expect some lines. And i do recomend dressing in shorts and short sleeves, florida can be torture in august ( i live her so i know) especially since u walk ALOT in the park. Take a nap or break in the afternoon, thats when its hottest and most crowded, people in your party will start to get cranky anyways ( especially the little ones) enjoy your stay!
Joe :)
