WL or POR or AKL or AS? Help!

We have a FTP booked, but because we will be going to Disney again next June (2 trips this year), I started looking into the AP hotel rates.

So now a tough choice - it works out so that we have many more affordable options now.

Need some help choosing.....

WL or POR or AKL or stick with the All Stars that I already have booked????

I have stayed at the All Stars before. Also stayed at WL and loved it there.

HELP ME! :dazed

and thanks in advance!

If you loved WL you will love AKL, if it were me I would pick AKL over all of the others, but thats me. We stayed at AKL last year. Its amazing .. really takes you away from reality ..which is what I like in a Disney Resort :)

How much time do you really plan on spending in your room? If you plan on using it as a place to shower and sleep...personally I'd stick with the All Stars (movies) or Pop Century, and spend the extra $$$ elsewhere...(like on more souvin"ears"!!!)

Are you going with or without children? If so, what are the ages??

I have to tell you something funny we found that happened at the AKL... we kept canceling our plans out so we could spend more time at the resort... :D Never did that at the All Stars...

I am travelling with my husband and 2yo son.

We will be spending some time at the hotel because of naptime and my son will just need a break from the parks periodically (so will I probably LOL).

The other thought that I had was that maybe by staying at somewhere like the WL, I wouldn't need to rent a car since their transportation was pretty good last time I went. Is that still true?

I'd stay at All-Stars and spend the money I'd save for more souvenirs.

If you can get a great price on AKL, then GO there! No other choices necessary. :D It's not everyday you come across a great rate at AKL, so you better take advantage of it, it's a very nice resort.

I haven't stayed at AKL, although I've heard it's wonderful. Personally, I'd go for WL. The boat goes back and forth between WL & MK, there's a nice little beach & wonderful pool to hang out at & you really feel like you're away from everything. The busses run quite often to other resorts & I just love the whole feeling. Let us know what you decide.

MickeyMamma, if you don't mind my saying so, it sort of sounds like you've all ready convinced yourself of which to choose... :D

The WDW bus transportation from AKL is wonderful too. You won't need a car there either.

I don't think you need a car at any Disney resort, but maybe that's just me. Sure the transportation options are cooler the closer to Magic Kingdom you get, but the need for a car during a stay at Disney is never necessary (except for entering and leaving property).

I don't know,I guess I am just too used to driving myself around Disney, because I rarely if ever use the Disney transportation.
