Polynesian daybeds
I have read in the various guidebooks that rooms at the Polynesian have two queen beds and a daybed. Is the daybed comfortable enough/big enough for an adult-sized teenager? I called the hotel and asked and was told that the daybed was wider than a twin bed and just as long --- sounds a little odd to me, but that's what they told me. Can anyone confirm? thanks.

Roz welcome to Disney Central! It appeared to be a regular twin bed size to me although the cushion was a little on the thin side. When I laid on it to test it out for my 4 yr old daughter I could feel the frame... but I'm kind of heavy so use your jugdement. I think if the teen is comfortable in a twin he/she would be just fine.

My daughter loved the daybed at the Polynesian. She slept in it everynight instead of the bed. I never asked her why, but probably because it made her feel like she had her own space away from the parents.:)

My guys actually fight over who get it. I don't think it be comfortable for me but they seem to love it. My DS is over six feet and he was okay with it. I just love the Poly the theme gets me everytime.

Slept on it two nights with the 2 yr-old and the complimentary bed rails and I'm tall (5'10")!! If I can do it with a wiggle little boy than a teen should have no problem at all!!!

thanks
Thanks to all who responded to my question about the daybeds at the Poly --- sounds like my son will have no problem. We hope to go in Jan and this will be our first Poly experience (we're hoping to do concierge too) -- can't wait! thanks again to all who offered their opinions.
