Book through AAA or Disney?

Our trip is a long ways off (very long) but I had a question. Is there any difference in what you get if you book through AAA vs. directly through Disney? I was originally going to go through Disney but thought maybe having someplace that I could actually go in person and talk to them might be better like AAA. I was going to book everything when I do (airline tickets and package deal w/ ultimate park hopper). If I book through AAA is there something that I wouldn't get because I didn't do it through Disney directly? Would our park tickets still be on the same card as our room key and so on? Also, does AAA work with you if discount codes come out after you book? As you can see I like to plan early and I know things will change on how Disney does it between now and then.

Before you do anything go to Mousesavers.com. There are all kinds of discounts and information available for reference.

Lots of people at Disney Central rave about the service they receive when booking their Disney vacations through Mouseketrips, which is run by our very own Mickey. I'm sure you could get tons of testimonials. There's a link to Mouseketrips on the DC home page.

I have booked my last 3 Disney Vacations through AAA. They provide a great, complete service and the packages are usually discounted. I figured that I have saved about $1000 off of the rack room rates for each of my 7 day vacations. (Keep in mind the discounts are not as good as the room discount code discounts that are available periodically)

AAA also includes some very nice *extras* that Disney-direct vacations do not provide. We received a AAA discount card that we could use at specific restaurants and shops for a 10% savings, AAA parking pass, AAA refreshment stop in the MK, etc. Plus, a really nice gift. One year we received a Disney Cruise Line Pin Set and this year we received 2 lanyards and pins.

Good luck!

Agree with Trish. We always book thru AAA and save a ton of money. They have there own discounts from WDW. This year though the Fairytale package was cheaper than the AAA discount although last year we paid less then this years Fairytale and stayed two more days through AAA. Get lots of qoutes from different sources and go with the one thats gives you the perks you like the best. The AAA parking lot is a nice perk. You park right up front in the parks.

Going to throw a wrench into the wheel... frankly, I'd book through a Disney Certified travel agent that specializes in knowing the discounts. They ask you if you're a AAA member, AP holder, Disney Club member, keep an eye to the codes, know what country you are from, etc, THEN quote you. Some even go so far as to move your booking for you when the price drops (if it does.) Mouseketrips (sponsors of this board) is such an agent, as are a few others. Be careful though, not all Disney Certified agents offer this service.
