Caribbean Beach or Port Orleans

Which moderate resort do you like the best and why?

For what kind of group / party?? Have stayed at all 3: CB, Port Orleans French Quarter (when it was PO) and Port Orleans Riverside (when it wsa Dixies Landing). I think for kids PO is the better resort(s).... pools & grounds. If just adults, I think CB is better. To me, it was more sedate. You can not go wrong with any of them though. :D :D :D

POR is more suited for children, great pool, good arcade and my kids love the food court. :)

I just Love POR, but this year its CBR for us, I was taken very ill at CBR and had to go to Celebration hospital and so CBR does not hold good memories for me, BUT I am hoping to eradicate those this trip, we are on the Fairy Tale Package and unfortunately POR was full for our dates so it was CBR or Coranado Springs, we had a family vote and CBR won.
CBR .....4 days and counting
Missing Tink :(

They are both very nice, although I have much better memories of POR. CBR was run down the last time I was there. Since then they have renovated so I am sure it is much better. It has actual sandy beach areas, which is nice, especially for those who don't have the opportunity to get the beach very much. POR was classier, prettier, more fun, in my experience. Plus, you have more options for transportation.

Whichever you pick - you'll have a great time!!:)

We have been to all 3 and like the POR riverside the best. Coronado is second. CBR would be our last choice. No special reason - just our preference. But, I am sure you will have a great time whichever you choose.

Have only ever been to CSR to stay, but I can vouch for the theming, atmosphere and friendliness of the staff there (see .sig for proof!). Great quiet pools as well.

Plus three words...

Beach. Hammocks. Margaritas.

:D

I stayed at CBR about 10 years ago and it was nice, I know a lot could have changed since then.

I stayed in Port Orleans Riverside last Decemeber and it was great. The grounds are beautiful, the food court was great, the bus service was efficient and our rooms were clean and nice. In fact, I liked it so much, I am staying there again this November!

I am sure you will be happy with whatever you choose!

We really liked Port Orleans back when it was Dixie Landings, The food court was the best with small children. I do not remember using the pool that year, I think it was a bit on the cold side.

Last year we stayed at CSR and really liked that a lot. The Pepper Market was just right for the four very different tastes in food in our group. The pool area is very nice and the grounds are very photography friendly. Besides the Mexico pavillion is our favorite place in Epcot and my DW is a huge Mexico fan having taught there for the Red Cross back in the early seventies!

This year it is off to the Caribbean Beach Resort. We tried to stay there last year, but it was being renovated. The pool and theming really sound like the place for me, plus we want to try staying at a non-convention resort to get more of a family feel. ( Don't get me wrong, you only notice the convention crowds late in the evenings when the kiddies are in bed).

Truth be told, anywhere on property is a treat!

Enjoy,
-harry

We stayed at POF and CBR

We like them both for different reasons. The kids love the pool at POF, but like the beach at CBR. We found a "Waterbug" (cock roach to me) on our bath towel at CBR. CM at hotel were very accommodating and had exterminator at the room, but that kinda ruined my stay the first few days. Also, when walking from our room to the food court under the trees, a bird pooped on my shoulder, lol. Both incidents happened on day 1. Trip did get better and we even stayed there again (with nothing bad happening). We really like POF, it was very quiet, pool is great, DD loved it.
