What building to stay in at POR?

This is my first posting at Disney Central. Hope you can help me.

My husband and I will be spending 8 days at WDW from 9-28 to 10-6 at Port Orleans Riverside. :D Any suggestions of which building(s) in Alligator Bayou are the best? We are looking for those that are quiet and have a water view (lake or river not pool), not necessarily close to transportation or main building.

Also, how is the boat transportation to DTD?

You can get the resort map at http://www.magictrips.com/images/maps/po-rsfq-map.gif

we stayed in building 16 it was near a pool, but it was a one of the quiet pools and we didn't notice much noise.

The river runs past the mansions. There were some small bodies of water in the bayou but nothing I would call a river.

Hope this helps.

Wow, sorry I missed this one. I usually suggest 14 or 18. They are the two that are closest to the main building, main bus stop, main pool and are still somewhat isolated. Building 15 isn't bad either, but it is next to the parking lot, so your risk hearing people coming and going each night, all night.

I think there are duplicate posts for this thread by Grammy Grumpy. I replied to this last week.
