For Tinkerbell...

The more I read and reread your bad experiences with the WDW staff, especially at the CBR, the more I believe you need to let someone know. After all they can't improve the staff's service if they don't know what the guests are experiencing, right?

If you want to let someone in charge know of your recent experiences, here are some addresses for you.

Mr. Dave Vermeulen
General Manager
Caribbean Beach Resort
Post Office Box 10,000
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-1000

Mr. Al Weiss
President
The Walt Disney World Resort
PO Box 10040
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Mr. Phil Holmes
Vice President of the Magic Kingdom
PO Box 10000
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

jmouse the worst .. most upsetting was the problem with getting the refridgerator. the second call I was kinda of begging ..the third I was threating them, that they would be paying for replacements!!
I wasnt going to mention this till I got to this part of the trip report ..but I do want to mention this one lovely sweet CM that was cleaning up around the tables at the Banana Cabana. we were sitting out there just enjoying the view and feeding the ducks, even talking to a couple at a table next to us on our next to last evening. She started cleaning around our table and began to talk to us .. asking how we were enjoying our stay .. I told her we loved the CBR.. but I asked her why there seemed to be so many on staff that were not as warm and friendly as they had always been in the past at the CBR and other resorts. I mentioned how we had had a problem getting wash clothes after none had been left in our room .. she insisted I write ..even went in and got me pen and paper ..she said I should let the General Manager know .. gave me his name. She said I wasnt supose to be having these kinds of problems. Then I began to feel awful for complaining  I wanted to take it all back because of this one very sweet and very "disney" CM .. I do wish I had got her name .. but then I am so awful with remembering names if I hadnt wrote it down I would have forgot it. Then later I went in with Barbie because she wanted me to pre-order the lion king DVD and the girl that was trying to take our order was new and had problems .. that didnt bother me a bit because she was very nice and trying so hard .. she had to get help ..who still had problems then I think it must of been the manager who came out and helped and she was just what I expect a Disney CM to be like ..she was all smiles and asking about our stay, our time in the parks and where we were from. This is what we were use to.
Thanks for the addresses .. I want to really think before I write ... and be sure I am not just whining about things :)

Me too, but Staff Made up for it!

I just returned from CBR and I also had a bad experience.
This is the first time I've ever had a bad experience at CBR. However, the staff offered me a free upgrade to make up for it. So I am still happy with CBR.
Tink, I looked for your van but I didn't see it. I was scheduled for Jamaica, but someone didn't checkout of the room they gave me and never told the staff (so the CM said). When I opened the room door for the first time, the room was still occupied. Talk about a bad start to the vacation! I accepted a transfer to Aruba.

I hope that you do write to all of the names listed and tell them exactly what happened during your stay. These folks do need to know what happened at their resort.

OMG! That could be quite a surprise :laugh :laugh Not that it's funny, but, oh my, it could have been interesting to say the least (where's the blushing smiley when you need it ;) :D )

I do hope you folks write a well thought out letter to the appropriate parties. As I mentioned before, you might want to include the web address of these threads in your letter so that the manager can see what is being said about DCers experiances at their resorts.

We are booked into the CBR for this Novembers stay and after reading all the negatives here I am starting to have second thoughts. Last night my DW told her sister in Cleveland about our trip and they are thinking about joining us. The DDs are really looking forward to spending a week together, especially in WDW, however SIL is a very particular person and I wouldn't want to be "responsible" for choosing a "bad" resort! ! ! ! :nervous

Please let us know how things go.

I wouldnt want anyone to not stay at a resort based on our experience, because it maybe isolated and hopefully not the norm. from what little phayes93 has posted so far his family had no problems at all :)
The CBR is just so beautiful and I would go right back today ..but I might be a bit more of a complainer *grin* if things were still not what I expected

Tinkerbell:

Thank you for your trip report and your concerns. We are going to CBR in Dec. for a Winter Dream Maker visit and you have given us a few things to watch for. I am new to this site and this is my first posting, so helpful hints are appreciated. Thanks again.

I received a strange phone call this past friday. It was from someone at Disney. All she said was "we wanted to let you know we had received your letter and someone will be contacting you".

I have heard of others getting the same call as that and they are followed up about two weeks later with another call from a CM asking about your concerns. Good luck, I hope the second calls takes care of the problems. I know your trip is over but others could benefit from your letter and phone call.

tinkerbell, I hope you do get that second call re: your experience at CBR. After reading about what had happened, I felt very sad that the magic was not quite there. I have only stayed at the Port Orleans and have had only wonderful experiences. This Nov my DH and I are staying at CBR. I am excited about going, but nervous at the same time after hearing about others' experiences. I hope that a CM calls you as they said they would so that you can voice your concerns in person.
