Almost time

Hi everyone I have a few more days before we are off to the Happiest Place on Earth. We are staying at the Movies and requested the Toy Story area but was told they can not guarantee it. Any ideas what I should do or can do? We are celebrating my DS 6th Birthday.

Make sure they know that you are celebrating the birthday. They may go out of their way to make sure you get that building.

Hey dans....
There have been a few threads on here about people creating a room request and sending it to the attention of the Room Assignor four days prior to arrival. Sometimes they work...sometimes they don't. I think you get bonus points for creativity ;) Try out "Room Request" in the search engine...

Lots of luck!!! and make sure to get that boy a Birthday pin at guest services on Main Street...:)

I definetely think that if you say that your son would really enjoy staying at the Toy Story building for his BIRTHDAY -! They will go out of there way to help you!
I would do what Disney Anne said to do !

When we went to the poly in June, I faxed a request to the room assigner 4 days before arrival. I made a fancy letter head with Volcanoes and Palm Trees. I asked for a room in a partcular building and a certain View. We were going to be there for our anniversary and I mentioned this in the letter. We got exactly what I had asked for and a basket on the 2nd day with a rose from the staff in honor of our anniversary.

I know that it does not always work for eeryone, but it does not hurt to try. I kept the letter short, on the nice and appreciative side without any demands. I had read the less specific you were the better off you would be. However, do not be disappointed if you do not get exactly what you ask for.
