What a trip!!!???

We are finally back in New York! It was a great trip...with a few mishaps. This my friends will be the Cliffs Notes.

Rain, Rain...GO AWAY!!!! Not thunderstorms, but terrible downpours beginning at 3PM. Not that big of a deal...whatever.

My DD begged to wait in line for 30 minutes to see Ariel. Okay, she is her favorite. Almost there...forgot the Autograph book. DH races back to the stroller just in time. She is beautiful and my DD is smiling so sweetly, okay smile! WHAT!!?? We are outta film! Great!!! Perfect!!! Should have bought a digital!!

Rainforest Cafe...really good dinner. Great time, fun gift shop, wait where's Dylan??? My DH lost Dylan for an agonizing 5 minutes!!! He was safely tucked away behind the counter with an employee. Whew! That 3 year old just earned himself a HUGE Buzz Lightyear.

Last night before departure...more rain. Let's just cancel our PS at the Crystal Palace and grab dinner in the Whispering Canyon. Okay gang...shoes on...stop playing hide and go seek in the closet...let's go!!! Slam!! Our 20 month old is screaming. Our 3 year old slammed the baby's finger in the closet. DH will console him while I get everyone's shoes on. What is on the baby's shirt??? BLOOD! Look closely...major contusion...split wide open...blood everywhere!!! Call resort desk...Call 911. Ambulance ride...4 hour wait...7 stiches. Poor baby. He's a trooper. that child just earned himself a HUGE Goofy! Grab a cab back to the WL (courtesy of WDW), start packing to go home.

Landing in New York. We are tired and hungry. Let's get our stroller and luggage and get home. The airport crew cannot open the door to remove the strollers and some luggage. My DH wants to just forget about the stroller and leave. I love that stroller. We wait , and wait, and wait. Two hours later they finally get it open. Let's go! What's that??? Ohhhh, they are offering flight vouchers for everyone delayed. Just one more quick line to stand in. That's four vouchers for us please and thank you very much. And my husband wanted to leave!!! Guess we will use our vouchers for our next Disney trip!!! :):) :) :) ;)

Oh ArielBelle!! Well at least you got vouchers for another trip:)

My 20month old also got stiches (end of July) 3 days after we returned from our Myrtle Beach vacation. He jumped and split his forehead open on the arm of a chair. I know how crazy that whole hospital thing can be.
Hope the baby is doing ok!
Hopefully your next trip will be problem free

Nina

Thanks for the sympathy. Quite honestly, it WAS a great trip. We did everything we wanted to with the exception of TL or BB. But my kids LOVED the pool.

I am going to give a full, detailed version as soon as the DR. visits are over and I get our lives back in order. ;) The stiches come out Friday. He is doing very well...kids have such resistance compared to adults!:p

I forgot to mention the Alligator we spotted on the grounds by the pond off the North side!!!It was as soon as we got into our room and looked down. The "bell boy" was mentioning how we could see ground hogs or beavers or something like that. I said "Oh look, an Alligator". At first he thought we were joking until he took a gander. He turned white and got on the horn to the maintenance crew. We thought it was funny, but the staff was not amused!!! Paging Animal Control...STAT!!!:laugh :laugh

An alligator, wow, you really did have an eventful trip. I can imagine that those siting do put the staff a little nervous. Although most normal people wouldn't go near a gator I'm sure there is someone out there who would try to get too close and possibly get hurt thus Disney wants to prevent that kind of thing. I'm eagerly awaiting the full version!!

Yikes, quite an adventure you had

I'm glad to hear everyone is ok! Poor baby, that's a terrible thing to happen on vacation! Friends of ours were in MGM in April. Their 6 yr old DS was playing at the Honey I Shrunk the kids playground and fell and broke his arm. That poor little guy was in a cast for 6 weeks and the worst part for him was, he couldn't use the resort pool while his siblings did! He survived and had fun in spite of it.

Definitely use your vouchers and re-do your trip!;)
