Fall/Winter AP discounts announced...

Hi folks,

I'm sure Mickey will be putting up something on the Main News Forum, but until then, just thought I'd let folk know that the AP discount rates are beginning to filter out...

This is a direct quote from Mousesavers.com:

WDW Annual Passholders can ask for Code AMI and get special discounted rates at most Walt Disney World resorts for check-ins 10/2/03-11/24/03 and 11/28/03-12/26/03. Discounts range from approximately 30-45% off regular rack rates. Availability seems to be very limited. Note that these dates include Value, Regular and Holiday seasons, so rates for the same hotel will vary widely. Some sample rates:

All Stars - $69 standard (Regular season)
Moderates - $79 standard (Value season)
Wilderness Lodge - $140 courtyard (Value season), $259 honeymoon room (Regular season)
Boardwalk - $294 concierge (Regular season)
Other resorts, room types and views are available at varying prices!

Hopefully this will put a big smile on a lot of people's faces...me, I'm sending over a plane full of pixie-dust to dump it on Mouseketrips..... ;)

Waited about 40 minutes to talk to a CM, but it was worth it!!! I was able to modify my existing reservation, and got the AP rate for the CSR.

I am a very happy person this morning!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes, it pays off to be patient!!!

CeltiaCat and myself are off to the CSR as well, in December and are hopefully going to get the AP discounts as well. If you don't mind me asking, what did pay per night, and was it a standard or water-view?

When is it worth it to get the AP? We are going to disney in december for 8 days....off peak time, and plan to stay at Wilderness Lodge.

No AP rates for me.:hmmm We are staying at the WL and they had no availability. While on phone with CM and debating whether or not to do concierage at the Poly, it became unavailable. I called back 30 minutes later to take the garden view room at the Poly and it was gone. Granted we are going a busy weekend in Oct. (Columbus Day) but the moral of my story is if you are planning to us AP discounts CALL NOW!

At least I got a AAA rate when I booked so I'm not paying rack rates. And I debated because we have never stayed at the WL and were really looking forward to it! So, despite all, I am still really psyched to be going to WDW and the WL soon!!:D :D

Sorry you were not able to get those AP rates, but AAA is pretty good. Infact , that's what we started out with, and fortunately, I was able to get the AP rate for Nov. But trust me, if I did not get the rate, I would have kept my AAA discount!!! Main thing is we are going to Disney, and as always will have a "Great Time"!!!! Enjoy your trip!!!!

I am so excited! I was just able to switch our reservation for 2 rooms in November at Port Orleans Riverside to the Florida Resident rate and now we are saving $31 a night, per room! It adds up to around $240 savings total! I was just excited to get the AAA discount when I first booked 3 months ago, saving this extra money is like icing on the cake!!

The code for FL resident discounts is AMH, if anyone is looking for that, I got it from mousesavers.com! I love that site!
