Mcdonalds
going to wdw very soon. We were there two years ago and stayed at All Star Movies. I remember going past a McDonalds not too far from the resort on our way to and from the parks...approximately how far away is it from the ASM and is it really worth going there, pricewise anyhow..? Thanks:)

There are three McDonalds in WDW, in addition to the carts that sell McDonalds french fries and the one it EPCOT that sells fries and shakes. The first is Restaurantosaurus in the Animal Kingdom Park. Although not officially a McDonalds, it serves standard McDonalds food for lunch and dinner, and is quite a bit more expensive than a regular McDonalds, the food is usually cold or stale, but the building is nice. The second is in Downtown Disney, and is just a regular McDonalds, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is no play area for the kids, but there are nice seats outside next to the lego play area. Nothing better than legos with honey or bbq sauce all over them. The third is located to the east of the All Stars, and is in a kind of funky building, it resembles a strange happy meal box. It is Dinsey themed inside, somewhat, but I am not sure if you could walk there or not from the resorts, since it is on the otherside of World Drive from the All Stars. I have heard that it is one of the worst McDonalds anywhere, dirty, poor service, bad food, etc. It might be quicker to catch a bus to Downtown Disney than it would be to walk.

my question is this.
Why go to McDonald's? There are so many better choices and original choices around Disney, but I suppose there are reasons. When I went to the Downtown Disney McD's the service took forever and all I had was fries and a coke. They were slighty overpriced, but not horribly. Service was definately not "Disney service" it was like a flash back to the real world which is something I don't like or need on vacation. but that just my opinion on it I could be wrong

Downtown Disney Macks!
WE call it Macks!
My husband and I on our first trip to WDW stayed at the ASMusic and walked the first night we were in Disney to the Macks your talking about. It was crazy, I agree that it was not that magical at all! REAL WORLD.. I know it doesn't happen every night but when we were there one of the employees started helling at her boss and then they go into a fight (fist and all) in the area where people eat!!! :nervous The police came and everything we had to give statements.. WHAT A WAY TO START OFF YOUR VACATION.:madmad . Anyways we found the Macks in DD to be the one to go to.. Just better in all ways.. We love mickey D's ( for another name we call it.) :p Lisa:D
