How does one request a particular room location? I've read that if you fax your request to the "room assigner"? a few days before your arrival ... that sometimes your request will be honored. Has anyone done this and if so, can you be specific as to the steps involved in making this happen? How do we find out who the room assigner is? What number do we fax to? Thanks!

Hi and welcome to DC !!
First let us know which resort you are staying at and we could look up the fax number for you.
Once you have the fax number, fax your request to the attention of the "room assignor".
I have done this myself twice. Once we got exactly what we requested, the other time we didn't. I guess it depends how busy the resort is.

So where do you look up the fax numbers? It's kind of you to offer to do it for others, but it would be great to have the resource oneself, for future reference.

When i did this I was told that they do put in the request, but there are no guarantees. I have done it 3 times in the past. 2 out of 3 I got the room I wanted.

I did this last June at the Poly and got what we asked for. I believe that the more specific you are, the more likely it is you may be disappointed. I asked for a room near the GCH and with a nice view due to a leg injury and I would be in room a lot. Got a great room that overlooked the marina and it was close to the GCH in Figi.

We stayed at POFQ last Feb. I faxed a room request about 3 days before our arrival and asked for a river view, non smoking and third floor. I received the first two requests so I was very pleased. The information I got was to put your highest priority first because chances are they will not honor all of your requests. Good Luck!!
