It is almost time to make my room request a WL and are asking anyone if they have any suggestions for a great room. We have a woods view and being that we have never stayed at WL I have no idea as to what room/ or section to ask for. You have all been such a greeeeeeeeeeat help in my planning so far I again turn to the experts. Thanks

Moe;)

Moe, just to confirm, you are staying at the Lodge, not the Villas (Disney Vacation Club), correct?

I stayed there last October and had a room on the 5th floor. I believe it was room 5147. The view was beautiful. I had a pool view, but started out with a standard. They upgraded me for free. You can see the Water Pagent perfect from that room and have a lovely view of pool. It never hurts to try for an upgrade. The worse thing they can say is "Sorry, no". If you are unable to score an upgrade, try for a room on the 2nd or 4th floor. You have a better chance of getting a request for a floor than getting a certain room. The entire resort is beautiful. I can't imagine any room being a bad room. Make sure you eat at Whispering cannon for a meal. The food is awesome.

When we stayed at WL in July the CMs all told us that the lodge was booked solid. Even with WL booked we were given an upgrade from a standard room to a courtyard room. We were even given one of the "bear's face" room that I now know are very popular. Our room opened to the lobby but we were never bothered by any lobby noise. Our room numbers were 4077 and 4075.

I almost faxed a room request but decided not take a chance on the magic of Disney and we were not let down. We never would have gotten what we did if I had requested a certain standard view. Keep your fingers crossed, you may get an upgrade!!! It woun't hurt to ask for one but don't count on it, I would hate to be let down upon check in.

Enjoy the lodge, it is so beautiful. After one stay I am addicted and now have to stay there again on my next trip.
