Food Court
We are staying at All-Star Movies in April of 2004. Does anyone know if there are toaster and microwaves in the food court? We are going to mail some breakfast items to ourselve to cut some costs since there are six of us in our family. It would be nice to know if there are toasters for Pop-tarts or toast and Microwaves for oatmeal or popcorn for a snack. Is there hot water available from coffee machines? (Questions I am thinking of as I write) We stayed at All-Star Sports 2 years ago, but there was only three of as at that time and didn't pay much attention or think of looking! Any help would be appreciated
Thanks!!!:)

Are you flying into Orlando and taking a car service like Tiffany Town Car? If you are, most services build in a half hour stop on the way to the resort for a grocery run. It might be cheaper for you to do that than mail food items to yourself.

Yes, there is microwaves and toasters in the food courts at Movie All Stars. I called a couple months back and confirmed that with a CM. We were there in 2001 and remembered the toasters--they are the kind that you place your toasting item in the top and it rotates it through and then drops it out the bottom. I could not remember a microwave--that is why I called. The CM assured me there was microwaves right next to the toaster.
I agree that if at all possible make a grocery stop instead of mailing your food items--this would be much cheeper and fresher. :heart :) :) :heart Becca

Thanks everyone!!:)
We are flying in from Chicago. I had thought about using the town car services but my entire family (14 of us) are going and it actually worked out cheaper to take Mears shuttle. That is a whole different post! Anyway I don't think we will send anything that will perish within a few days, loading up on Twinkies ![]() Again Thank all of You who helped me out!!

To save on shipping costs you might try packing some goodies in one of your checked bags. That way when it is empty you have an extra bag to bring home all those tee shirts and other WDW goodies.
:heart :)

Tiffany Town Car
Just a thought, we are using Tiffany Town Car Service. There are 6 of us going and the Tiffany's was a lot cheaper. They can use passanger vans for larger groups. Plus you get to stop by a grocery store for 15-20 minutes. You might be pleasently supprised.

I know that it would take up some room in your suitcases but why not pickup a $9.99 toaster and a cheap electric pot to heat water in and then you could do all of that in your room. I read about one family that took an old toaster and just left it in the trash when they left so they would have the spare room in the suitcases for souviners.Good luck.

Thanks everybody
![]() I have talked it over with my DBF and I think that we are going to try and put our food in our carry-ons. Does anyone know what the limit for carry-ons is and is it O.K. to bring food on the plane like that? Last time I know it was two per person. We are going to have six people (14 all together). It might look strange having four kids with two carry-ons each! Oh well who cares!! I like the "disposable" toaster idea. Our toaster is about to go, hopefully it will last untill April. (Thanks Belle's Momma :D ) Maybe I could get a new Disney toaster while I'm there:hmmm Again, Thanks to everyone :)
