Welcome to DisneyCentral cutiebootz.
I have never stayed at one of the All Stars value resorts. However, I can say that many people here on DC have and have had very nice things to say about them. If you undersatnd that there will a lot of kids around and the resorts are huge so you may have a bit of a walk to get to a bus stop or food court you will be fine. You will get a nice room and a great Disney theme. Have you looked at this site? It is great, Deb has lots of pictures of all the resorts. Plus all the menus to help with meal planning. http://wdwig.com/ When is your trip??

Welcome to DC cutiebootz
We have stayed at the All Star Music and Movies and the service there was just as good as the service at Deluxe or Moderate Resorts. They have huge food courts but no sit down restaurants. You will still get a huge amount of disney magic :) The rooms are small ..about the size of a motel 6 room. I dont have a single complaint about them. If you are like us and dont spend a lot of time in the room anyway it doesnt matter a bit.

All Stars are nice. It is true there are lots of kids and it can be loud. The rooms themselves were fine, after all, all you do is sleep in them. If there is a sporting event at Wide World of Sports, there will be lots more kids, since All Stars is where they stay. The food courts have lots to offer. If your looking for budget, it is fine, and much better than the motel 6 in town.
Welcome to the DC family ![]()

Just wanted to say hi and welcome to Disney Central - where virtually any question can be answered by the nicest people ever!
What you WON'T get at the Value Resorts is nasty surprises. The rooms are small, but super-clean, the grounds are beautiful and themed, you get your transportation to all the parks, the food courts are certainly adequate. They are far superior to any off site hotel in the same price range, and you are treated very nicely. I've only stayed there 2 nights, but didn't have any complaints. You should check with them to see what sports teams, cheerleadings squads, etc. might be booked in and plan accordingly. Also, the new Pop Century (also value) looks very cool! :)

yes, there are a lot of kids at the all stars, but if you want to avoid that, try the music. Little kids will want movies while the boys will want sports.
we love the all-stars. We stayed there once, tried Port Orleans, and decided we liked all-stars better, for the good value. Yzma

Hi-
We stayed at all stars movies 2 years ago with my parents, and my sister and her family. I agree with everyone here. They are great. Plenty of oversize themeing, and Disney magic. If you have kids they will LOVE this one. Since that trip we have stayed at the Poly, AKL, and CBR. My favorite is the Poly, but my daughter (5) ALWAYS asks when we are going back to the All stars. I think next time we will try Pop Century. My parents also say they don't even want to try another resort. They like the $ of all stars, and the theming. I hope these posts make your decision easy-stay on site:D !! :heart Lauren |

First, let me say Welcome to Disney Central! I have stayed at both All Stars Movies and Music and loved them both. They are all the same price (even Pop Century), but they are great resorts. It's larger than life icons make the Disney magic a 24 hour experience. You can expect many families with small children and the pools are usually loaded with kids to play with. I enjoyed my stays at both of these resorts as I'm sure you will too. I can't even imagine staying off-site. The on-site magic makes the Disney experience feel like a non-stop shower of Pixie Dust. You get to experience the magic 24 hours a day. You can even be woke up in the morning by the mouse himself. The food courts offer your basice fare, but there are buses to take you anywhere on-site to choose many different kinds of meals. Another advantage to on-site staying is afternoon breaks at the pools. You can just hop on a bus and VIOLA! pool and a nap if needed. I can't wait to hear more of your vacation plans. You chose right when you decided to sign up on this helpful forum. The people here are GREAT and can answer or find answers to any questions you may have about traveling to/from and around WDW.:)

We have stayed at the AS Music & Movies, once at Music & twice at Movies. The second time we stayed at the AS Movies, it was just my DH and myself, our DD didn't come with us.
I am very thrifty when it comes to staying at a hotel/motel. I can't see the money of over $100 per night for someplace to sleep and shower. My DH refuses to stay off property now since we've stayed on the last 3 times. When we go in March, we're going to the Pop Century. We have always had a very clean room and the icons are great. Anything Disney is themed great as well. We don't care about the "sit down" resturaunt at a hotel much, we tend to do those in the parks. The rooms are small but about the same size as a typical budget hotel. The only thing I would change about the rooms is they had 2 queens instead of 2 full size beds. DH and myself are used to king size bed at home & DD has an inflatable Aerobed which is full size that we always take; we each have our own bed when we stay there! :laugh The only complaint that I have about staying at the AS resorts is that they all share the same bus. AS Sports is always the first to be picked up/dropped off, then Music then Movies. I think that each resort should have their own bus. I hope that everyone's input helps in your decision. Welcome to DC! |

Welcome to DC:D. I have stayed at All Star Movies!!!! LOVED IT:heart and am staying there in (counting down) 41 days. It is very good for the money and clean, not bad sized, very bright in colors and the food courts are really good priced. I don't think I would stay anywhere else. :heart

Only stayed at the All Star Movies once. Rooms are small, we had no problem with noise. Of course we did not have a pool view, maybe that helped. I do remember getting the room that one year for $49 a night, could not pass up a deal like that!!!!!:) JOANN

I love the All-Stars. You get just as much magic staying there as with the other Disney resorts. I,however, drive myself whenever I stay on Disney property, because I don't like the Disney buses and don't use them if I don't have to.

I am the "Queen of Cheap" I cannot stand paying alot for a hotel and rental car!! that's just me!!:p We stayed at the all-star sports (Touchdown section) and that was fine with us!! yes the rooms are small but we weren't in there but to sleep and shower, we were gone 12-15 hours a day so believe you me that was great for us!! it is no frills, we rented a minivan because there were 7 of us and that worked out fantastic, no waiting for a bus ever!! the food was ok in the food court but no way any cheaper than the rest of the parks food! OK that is my story and I stick to it!!! Enjoy!!!! TTFN, Jacki:)

Welcome! I am sure that you find this site invaluable as you plan your vacation.
I have stayed at the All-Star Music (1994), All-Star Movies(2002) and a earlier this month at the Beach Club Resort (2003). The general agreement is that we all liked the All-Stars better than the Deluxe Beach Club Resort for quite a few reasons. 1) The food court is always open. At the BCR, there were many times that my DD's wanted to eat and nothing was available but the typical hamburger at the outside food snack shops. 2) Unless we made reservations, we could not even eat in our own hotel. This is NEVER a problem at the All-Stars. I am not one that thinks I should have to plan everyday of my vacation around FOOD! 3) The rooms at the All-Stars are not much smaller than the one we had the deluxe hotel. In fact, the All-Star rooms were much CLEANER and QUIETER. The only thing nice about the deluxe was that all the rooms are accessed from inside the hotel, whereas at the All-Stars each room opens directly outdoors. 4) The buses do stop at the other All-Stars, but we never had to wait for a second bus to pick us up. The wait time at the All-Stars was better than at the BCR and at the BCR we had to wait for a second bus numerous times because the first one was full! You will definitely be happier staying on-site than off! You can't beat the prices at the All-Star's and you have the Disney magic the entire length of your stay. Everyone at the All-Star's was very helpful and friendly. |

I have stayed at all three some more than once. They are great. I would stay there everytime that I go to WDW. I don't want to spend alot of money at the hotel I would rather spend it elsewhere.
