I booked the Pop Century in August. From what I understand, the Classic Years (Phase I) is where I will be staying. The lengendary years is still not completed. Will I see construction from where I will be. I never stayed at any of the All Stars, but I would imagine it would be like staying at the All star music with construction going on at the movies. I don't want to see construction while I'm there. It will spoil some of the magic.

Also, if I do see construction, can I get switched to another hotel. I asked the CR and they did not know.

I'm not sure if they will move you to another resort, but I have been told that they will not be booking the resort full for quite a while. They are 'breaking it in' first so only booking about half the rooms. The thought is that they will be able to avoid putting people in rooms that have a view of the Legendary Years construction.

Not sure if that will still be an issue in August, they've already started construction and most of the outside work may be completed by then.

Did you book a preferred room? I would definately do that. It will assure you a clsoe room to pool, lobby and food court areas and that can be a big difference when traveling with children. I would try to request a room in 50's building #3, 60's building #4or #5, or in the 70's section building #10. The building in the 60's are considered prefered room and the ones in the 50's and 70's are not prefered rooms, but are very close to everything and no where near where it's possible to view contruction of The Legendary Years. You can have Cnetral Reservations notate this on your reservation and then request one of these locations in a room request fax 4 days before you leave. I hope this helps!
