Wilderness Lodge

I'm taking the kids to Disney on 11/6/02 and we're staying at the Wilderness Lodge. We've never stayed there before, any useful tips? We're looking forward to it quite a bit and I want to get the most out of the resort stay.

Vet51,

Welcome to DisneyCentral!

We're staying at the WL (Villas) for the first time in less than 10 days, so hopefully I'll come back with more tips. Things that I have discovered so far:

- If you like bar-b-q, Whispering Canyon Cafe is very good. If you like "finer" dining, Artist Point is terrific!

- You can see the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach.

- You can ask to be a "Flag Family." In the early morning, you go on the roof of the resort and help raise/lower the flags.

More, hopefully, when I return...

Bruce

vet51, welcome to DisneyCentral. I really like Wilderness Lodge, it is beautiful inside, the restuarants are great, the rooms are nice and the pool is one of the best in WDW. The only downfall of the resort is the location. While it is close to the MK and the TTC, it takes forever to get anywhere else on the buses. It shouldn't be too bad in November though, so I wouldn't worry about that. In all honestly, it is one of my favorite resorts, and I am sure you and your family will enjoy it.

Have a great trip, and let us know if you have any other questions.
