Electric Water Parade

My family and I will be staying at the new Pop soon. I am wondering if there is a place that I can go to view the Electric Light Parade. Everything that I have read says that if you are staying at one of the MK resorts, you can check with guest services for times. Is this something that people staying at other resorts can participate in? And if so, where is a good spot?

Thanks!

The electric light parade can be viewed from the Seven Seas Lagoon. Anyone can view this parade, not just MK resort guests. All you have to do is ask and the CMs at your hotel will probably be able to find out for you what the time of the parade is.

I would agree. Last trip we went for an evening meal at the Kona Café at the Poly, then afterwards CeltiaCat suggested we go outside for the fireworks which would be starting soon. We wandered out onto the end of the Poly boat dock (to the left of the pool) and watched Wishes from there (amazing!). Not long after that, the EWP went past in full view.

After that, if you don't have transport, I'd suggest monorailing it from the Poly to the MK, then jumping on a Disney bus back to your resort,

CM

You can view it from any of the MK resorts. I am not sure about the WL lodge. We have seen it from our room at the Contemporary and from the beach at the Poly. It is nice to sit on the beach and watch the fireworks and then the EWP

yup it normally starts at the MK area at closing time then goes to the GF, the poly, then to the wilderness lodge, from there onto the campgrounds and then the cont. then back to be parked. you can view the floats from the express monorail very easily during the day, as you depart the magic kingdom look to the park side of the monorail, you will see a smaall chanel with a bunch od small barges parked there this is the electrc water parade floats. they also use ths chanel to park the liberty boat during rehab at the MK end it goes into the river around tom sawyers island. the railroad bridge for the MK rr crosses this. the bridge can be turned 180 degrees to get the liberty boat out for rehab.

You can watch it at the Wilderness Lodge. I had a courtyard view with a balcony off my room and had a perfect seat for the pageant. One night we went down to the dock and got an even better view. We also got the luck of seeing it from the monorail from the MK to the TTC. Its really cool.

I have seen it from the Polynesian and the Contemporary, though the Poly was better, since we were closer.

Polynesian Resort - 9 p.m.
Grand Floridian - 9:15 p.m.
Wilderness Lodge - 9:35 p.m.
Fort Wilderness - 9:45 p.m.
Contemporary Resort - 10:05 p.m.

This schedule is pretty accurate, unless the fireworks at MK start at 9, then the parade will be about 10 - 20 minutes behind schedule.

Thanks so much for all the info. You guys are a wealth of knowledge. We will be heading to Disney on 2/8, can't wait! And I definately have the EWP on our list of things to do.

Thanks again!
