Restaurants??

We want to do a really great restaurant our first night at WDW
any suggestions? I am thinking Ohanas?

My very favorite disney restraunt is Chef Mickey's now at the Contemporary Resort. It is a buffet that has tons of characters there all the time. Also, just about any sit down restraunt at World Showcase is good.

O'hanas is our favorite (as well as many others here on the board!!) If you don't do O'hanas the first night, make sure you make it there sometime during your trip.

Chef Mickeys is also lots of fun....a good choice for for a first night, too!

If your first night is Wednesday or Saturday,go to Boma in AKL because they have ribs on the menu. Any other time of the week,go to Cape May Cafe in the beach Club.

I have heard that Cape May Cafe has gone downhill big time!!! haven't been there in a while so i am speaking from what i have heard

I think 'Ohana is a great first night choice. We love 'Ohana, it is a must do on every trip. The food is great and the atmosphere is fun. We also hit Chef Mickey's at least once during our stay for either breakfast or dinner.

I second the vote for Chef Mickeys-we ate there for the 1st time our last trip, and it will be on our "must do" list for each upcoming trip.

I've also heard wonderful things about Ohana's, when we stayed at the Poly, it was always full, and everyone looked to be having a great time!!

Disneyluva-Ohana's is at the Poly!!

One other thing that might help make your decision-Chef Mickeys is a buffet, and Ohana's is family style-the food is brought to you. To us-we like a buffet. But when my DM comes with us she likes to be served;)

If you are thinking of doing this as your first night's dinner, see if they are doing "wishes" that night and try for a window seat around showtime. What a way to start the trip! Chef Mickey's is also a great choice if your pary includes children. It is one of the best character meals offered at WDW and will truely get you in that Disney spirit. You could always do Chef Mickey's your first night and do Ohana's on your last as a grand finale ot your vacation.

We've been to O'hanas twice now, the last time being this past
summer, and we highly recommend it. It has something for everyone.......and unlimited too :dazed

Thanks every one. This is our first time at WDW. Want it to be the best. Dana, what is WISHES? and what time should I plan on being there?
I was looking at the menus on the allears.net so overwhelming!!

Wishes is the new fireworks show at MK. You get a distant view of it from 'Ohana if you have a window seat. We always arrive early and ask for a table by the windows. Sometimes you get it and sometimes you don't. Make your PS an hour or so before Wishes is set to begin.
