Changed my hotel!!!

I am soooooooo excited!!! When I made our reservations I tried for
AKL because my DD wants to stay there SO badly, but nothing was
available, so I booked POR. We leave in about 2 weeks, and I haven't
even told the kids we're going yet, so today I took a shot and
called WDW and AKL was available!! Standard Savannah, which was just
what I wanted!

I can't wait to see their faces! I may not even tell my husband...

The lady on the phone was SO nice, we talked about the wierd weather the whole country's having, and even though it took a loooong time because the computer system was acting up, we chatted and had a great conversation. (thank goodness for free long distance!!!)

I can't wait!!

Hey Storm... that's GREAT news!!! Definitely keep it a suprise for everyone... I love surprising people! Seems their computers are due for an upgrade though... I was on the phone with a lady the day after Christmas for an hour and she also kept saying the computers were slow...

I am dying to stay at AKL... in fact, we were watching the planning video yesterday (again;) ) and my 10-year-old son went bananas over AKL. Hmmm... another trip in the works??? :laugh

Good for you, I bet you are soooooo excited:D I am so glad that worked out for you, your kids will be soooo surprised!!
I wish I was going back that soon, I would sleep on the sidewalk if I could go tomorrow!!!

Great news! Your going to love AKL. We have stayed there 3 times and love it more every time. Make sure to take your children to the fire pit area at night and look through the night vision goggles, it's awesome!! We'll be there in May. Have a Magical vacation!!!!!!!!!:D :) Joe

I decided since this hotel is like a park in itself, I changed our flight as well! We were supposed to arrive at 6:30 at night, now we'll be in at 10 am!! Whoo!!

how wonderful!! we surprised our granddaughters 2 years ago with the AKL ..they thought we were staying at the CBR ..but I after seeing the AKL on the travel channel DH wanted to go there so bad ..then I added a surprise for him by adding a night :)
It was so much fun tricking the girls ..we pretended we were just lost on our way to CBR ..and ended up at AKL ..and said since we were there we should go look around .. the youngest was afraid we were going to get thrown out! She said Lets go to our Resort before we get in trouble ..she got so upset I told them ..ok lets check in here :)

That is exciting for you and your family. It gave me an idea!;) I think next Nov. when DH and I go for Super Soap Weekend I will book it and not tell him. It is his dream to stay there but he thinks we can't afford it (which we can't but hey....it's Disney!):D

That is so GREAT. You are going to love AKL. We fell in the love with the resort right away when we stayed there. Like someone else said try the nightvision goggles.

Its great that you are going to keep it a secret. The look on their faces when you pull up to the resort is going to be priceless.

Everynight I think at around 8pm or so down in the lobby the CM's have the night vision goggles and you go out and use them to see the animals.... Its really neat....
