All Star Movies Resort Question

Hi. I will be off to the world for the very first time in 9 days. I am very excited, but the cost is worrying me. I have a question for anyone who has stayed at the above resort. I was wondering about charging things to my room account. Do they charge your card everyday or just once when you check out. What kind of "other" fees do they charge (electricity, etc.)? I would really appreciate any help on this. Thanks!

There are no resort fees tacked onto the per night rate. The only thing that costs additional relative to your room is phone calls. Local and toll-free calls are 75 cents each. You can connect to anyplace in WDW by dialing the resort operator and asking her to connect you.

If you put charging capabilities on your resort card, Disney will let you charge up to $500 on your room account in a value resort. When you reach $500, they charge your credit card and start over again at 0.

mouseof3, it means you can use your room key for charges at the shops and restaurants while your at WDW. You can pay all of those when you check out (we do) or leave it and it will be charged to the credit card that you gave them

With the charge to the room program, you use your room key to charge to your room (so don't lose it). They will hold on to the charges until you hit a pre-set limit, at which time they will charge your credit card in one lump sum. You can get a daily print out of charges, or one final one at check out.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone, for all your help. I really, really appreciate this. I was trying to determine (regarding my payroll direct deposit which should happen twice during my stay at the world) when the money would be charged to my account so that I don't bounce anything. Tammy :)
