Caribbean Resort Questions?
My first trip to WDW will be in September. Our reservations are for the Caribbean Resort and I would greatly appreciate any and all comments regarding this resort (good and/or bad) regarding room cleaniness, service, transportation, etc. This was the resort we picked due to the location being close to the two parks that we wanted to go to, which are Epcot and MGM. :nervous

Rj: I found the Carribean Resort to be gorgeous. We stayed their last year on our honeymoon and having stayed at all of the moderate resorts (except the new combined Port New Orleans...I stayed at the old New Orleans and Dixie Landings), I found it to be the best of the moderate resorts. The rooms were very clean and the service was excellent. We always rent a car since we end up going the Universal Studios for a couple of days, so I can't comment first-hand on the transportation. But, I wouldn't think transportation would be lengthy to any of the parks since CBR is not that far away from any of them (unlike the AllStar resorts to Magic Kingdom for instance). The sand beaches are beautiful and provide interesting scenery for a light morning jog.

Caribbean Resort Questions?
Thanks for the input Shawn. I guess I'm very nervous and want to find out as much as I can before we get there so that I can sorta understand what to expect. I'm one of those plan, plan, plan people that has to have every detail down (bad habit in some ways but good in other ways). :nervous :dazed

Planning is an excellent idea...especially if you're on of those on a Kamikazee-style (must-see-everything) vacation. Disney vacations are expensive and even people with a laid-back attitude should do some pre-planning to make sure they optimize their vacation. I always leave at least one or two days where I don't have a set agenda and we can move around more leisurely.

rjcreech, welcome to DisneyCentral. I have never stayed at CB, but I have been all throughout and seen rooms, restaurants and pools. The resort is quite spread out, but there is no need for you to walk from one end to the other. The main building and main pool are right in the middle, close to nearly all of the rooms.
Carebbean Beach Map I think the moderate resorts are the best deal in WDW. The rooms are similar to the deluxe resorts, they are more spread out and cost less than half of the deluxe resorts. Make sure you take a look at the map and request a room location. If you want suggestions on rooms, just ask, but I usually preferr to be staying somewhere near the main building and pool, but not too close. (Aruba 52 or Jamaica 42) Others may vary in their opinions.

I hope that you have a wonderful magical time! I'm getting more and more excited as the time gets closer. PS: how can I get the countdown clock for myself? Thanks!
