When Should I visit June 2004 or October 2004???

Hello gang.

I am back with a question to the veterans. When do you think would be the best time to visit Disneyworld.

June 2004 or October 2004. Is is really that much more crowded in June??? And besides being summertime, is there anything else you might know of that would help me determine when I should plan my vacation?

Thanks in advance.

If you like HOT and CROWDS, go during June. However, there are some perks such as the parks being open longer, the water recreation would be more enjoyable, you could get a tan. . .

In October you would have cooler weather and smaller crowds. And if I'm not mistaken (might want to check on this) you could save money because the rates would be cheaper. The parks are not open as long but with fewer people you would still get to do everything.

I'm sure you will gets loads of good info from the DCers. So good luck. :)

:) I would have to vote for October.....I was there in June one year and almost couldn't stand the heat. October was nice, when we went, but that year it was very warm too, so........you really have to weight your options......Happy Planning:whistle:

Yes, I totally agree, go in October. The heat difference and crowds are two very big reasons.

Plus you get to sample foods and wine from all over the world at EPCOT that time of year.

WDWSpider,

You are going exactly one day behind me on my October planned trip. I may see ya down there. I will be the one at the Caribbean Resort chasing down Mickey for autographs and pictures. I just hope I don't embarras my 5-year old daughter.....not to much anyway :-)

:laugh Very cool. I am still unsure on where we are staying, it's up in the air until the in-laws tell us if they want to go or not. The dates is set, just not the resort.

Since you reminded me, I am going to change my countdown.:D

Good move chosing Oct. We love being there then. It's still plenty warm enough for water parks & the crowds are soooo much lighter. Not to mention that since it's off-peak the prices are lower for resorts. Even DVC costs me fewer points to go then compared to June. I've gotten tan (& even burned) in Oct, but occasionally you'll get a cool night so take a sweatshirt or light jacket just in case.

Definitely go in October instead of June. Crowds size and weather are the biggest reasons. If you are not used to the heat it could be a problem. In my experience people's moods are definitely better when they are not having to deal with crowds, especially when it is really hot. I also agree that you can get better rates during October.

Thank you all for your wonderful advice on when to visit. I must say I am more anxious than my little princess. I haven't been since I was 12 and I just can't take the wait!!!!! :-)

But, I agree with your posts. Besides my daughter's birthday is Oct 23. And my Oct dates for Disneyworld are the 18-23. I think this will be an awesome birthday for her.

Octobers at DW are the best! We went last Oct for my birthday (Oct 16) and it was wonderful! Be sure to stop at guest relations to get DD a birthday button so she can get the "royal treatment"!

I believe "Gay Week" is totally NOT sponsored by Disney. And no offense to anyone, please. :D :) Joe

I have to vote October as well. I love Kings Dominion too sooooo it sounds like you are going to get the best of both worlds.
