Carribean or Port Orleans
We have reservations at Pop Century for the last week of May. However, we are thinking of upgrading to a moderate resort. We have stayed at the Coronoda Springs and Port Orleans Riverside. We are thinking about trying the Carribean Beach Resort. But - I loved Port Orleans.
Carribean or Port Orleans? I need your opinions and why. Also, we stayed in the Alligator section. Is the Magnolia section as good? It will be me, my son, husband and parents. My parents have not stayed at PO or CBR. Thanks for your help!

I have never stayed at CB , to me it looks extremely big. I also love POR I have at stayed at both sections the Magnolia bend the rooms are the same size in both and I stayed in Magnolia the last time I stayed there in October I stayed not too far from the food court and it was great building 90 if you go to the ones that are farther away and dont mind walking its great also I was at the east depot but I always got off at the one by the lobby and walked I thought that one was closer to our room

How about Port Orleans French Quarter? The New Orleans feel of the place is really nice. It is smaller than both CBR and POR. Plus POFQ was just refurbished so it will have a nice new feel to it! Just a thought!

I've stayed at Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans French Quarter, and have eaten at Riverside. Love CB but French Quarter is my favorite. FQ is smaller and easier to navigate then the other two, plus my kids love the waterslide. But ... only half (I think)of the hotel is reopening, don't know if they're still renovating the other half so you might have to deal with construction noise. If you can't stay at FQ I recommend CB. Have a great trip!

Just got back from Disney and stayed at the CB it was so nice! Very quiet we could not hear the people on either side of us like you can at some hotel or resorts.
It is Disney biggest resort with 2100 rooms and has its own inter-resort bus systen to move about the resort. I rate this resort AAA+++ the food court was not the greatest but does provide for basic needs. They do have pizza delivery golf cart that I saw running around the resort and we took advantage of it and the pizza was great. |

My husband and I stayed at the Carribean Beach and loved it - but that was 8 years ago. Before that, stayed at the Polynesian Resort (loved that too). In the last few visits stayed at Dixie Landings and I liked that too.
My question - this is the first time we are traveling with the kids to Disney (8, 5, and 17 months) and are planning a stay at the Carribean Beach - other family members are staying at Port Orleans - just can't make up my mind - any advice for choosing based on having small kids? I read that the CB rooms are a little larger, thought it might be nice to be close to other family members (who could help with kids!) Thanks! |
