What to do?

Many of you have heard me jabber on about my next trip that I booked at the Polly. I have selaed the deal and placed a deposit for a water view room. Being the anal planner I am, I have been crunching numbers like a nut and realized that I can stay at the Polly Coneirge (sp?) for just $5 more a night....crazy the water rooms must rock to be that high. Should I go for it? What is the plusses of staying in a Conceirge room? What exactly do they do for you? I have never even thoght to stay this way and find myself curious about it. Has anyone personally stayed at the Polly with this option? Will it save me money on food in the long run? Thaks for any help and opinions on this matter and for excusing my spelling if I got that wrong...:o

Congrats on the planning, Dana! I know there have been several who have booked the Poly concierge including mattomouseman. I don't think they were real thrilled with the level of service but they were also refurbishing at the time. I say if its only $5 additional a night it would be worth it. If you are already paying that much, what's an additional $5??? I think they provided breakfast and snacks during the evenings. You might want to do a search for concierge on the front page. There were a couple of others that had comments as well. Good luck!

Poly Concierge for only $5 more per night? I would definitely go for it!

For many people, the Poly Concierge ranks right behind the AKL Concierge as the best in WDW! You will have enough food choices to satisfy you for breakfast, unless you are a person who needs a hot breakfast every morning. The guava juice and cookies are out all afternoon. And the desserts are wonderful at night. Some of my favorite times are sitting in the Poly Concierge lounge at night watching the fireworks while we enjoy desserts and cordials! Chef Dick is wonderful, always creating delicious dishes for your enjoyment. And everyone gets a kick out of the fruit sculptures he creates for the evening spread.

We love the Poly Concierge. In fact, I won't stay at the Poly unless we are staying Concierge!

I agree--for 5 dollars more, think of it as free breakfast or a late night snack lol!~:p

For 5 dollars, the private area and ressies, pampering etc would be more than worth it!:)

The Passporter listed the water view at $385 and the Concierge at $390, but it's garden view not water. I think if I am going to go this far with it, I may as well go all the way. Do they ever have AP discounts on this jmouse? I am banking on something. Thanks for the responces guys and sorry if my original title was offensive...I really didn't think about it and changed it...how embarrasing..:o

Actually, Dana, you can only change the title of your original post... not the thread. Would you like for me to change it from "Should I Go All The Way..." to "What To Do"???? I'd be glad to. Just let me know! ;)

please do Anne. I didn't realize what it sounded like when I posted it...please do not think that I meant it to sound that way. I also didn't realize I couldn't change it. Thanks.

I think I will...what the heck. You only live once right? The polly is one of my "dream resorts" and I purchased the AP with hopes of getting a discount on it so it's a bit more in my budget. I figured if you are going to do it, mine as well get all the frills with it. I have plenty of time to save and found out on Friday that my store made it's planned $$$ and I get a very nice bonus for finance this little adventure. There is no way I'd be able to do it without it..lol Bonus = money I didn't expect to get and didn't plan on having...so it's kinda like finding it...lol Thanks for the opinions guys. As usual, I can count on you.

Anne - please change that topic when you get the time....I don't want anyone to think that I did that on purpose. I am not that kind of person...thanks.

Exactly what I wanted to heat jmouse. Thanks so much. You have just made my day! I will compose an email to Turnwrench (scott) at mouseketrips today asking him to make the appropriate changes to my reservation. Thanks again for your opinion. I respect it highly.

ACK! I didn't realize this was in resorts, Dana. Mattomouseman will have to change it. You might want to drop him a quick PM and ask him to work it out for ya....:o

I PMed Matto and hope that he can fix it. I don't want anyone to get offended by that. I REALLY didn't mean it to sound that way.
