I hope you got the secretarys name and return number, and names and dates of the managers you talked to that will held back your story. We have stayed at Coronado several times over the years and never had a problem other than there food.Disney doesent run the food there a outside company does. You have to expect noise at peak season more so the closer to the pool areas you get ,everyone asks for a room near the pool.Give them a call again and raddle there cage does seem like a long time ago now though.

You know... If they were yelling or screaming that would be one thing. This was straight up normal volume tv and normal talking on one side, then later that night, noise for 20 minutes, then quite, then snoring through the rest of the night. Normal audible activity should not be heard from one room to another. ever...

Nah, if the 6 letters to multiple people at WDW suggested by WDWblues.com didn't do anything, nothing will. Anything else I see as begging for an apology and I gotta draw the line somewhere.

Okay, first of all...I am really irritated by the attitude going on in here. People, relax, okay? Show some respect for each other!

Second of all...llbarnes, I don't think that you saying Coronado Springs is "nasty" is a correct interpretation. We understand you had a horrible experience there, but I also know of several people on this site who consider CS their favorite resort and would rave about it if given the chance. Personally, I look forward to staying there in the future.

I'm very sorry to hear about what an awful experience you had. I wouldn't wish that on anybody!

There has got to be somebody you can get into contact with that will be able to rectify the situation, or at least make you feel a little better.

I don't know how you've worded these "6 letters," but my suggestion is..."You get more bees with honey than with vinegar." Try not to be too standoffish. Good luck!

bad disney experience

I READ YOUR POST AND THINK THAT YOU HAVE CAUSED YOURSELF ALOT OF GRIEF AND WANT TO BLAME IT ON DISNEY. THE PART ABOUT THE MONEY IS KIND OF WEIRD, HOW DID THEY KNOW WHERE TO FIND YOU TO ASK FOR THE MONEY BACK. I HAVE WORKED IN THE CASHIER BUSINESS AND KNOW THE SCAMS PEOPLE DO TO CONFUSE US. SECONDLY, WHY WOULD YOU CHECK INT0 A HOTEL AT 10 PM AT NITE. YOU COMPLAINED ABOUT THE PEOPLE WALKING UPSTAIRS, YET IT WAS PERFECTLY OK FOR YOU TO BE MOVING YOUR BELONGINGS AT THAT LATE HOUR!!!!!
I THINK YOU NEED TO DO A DIFFERENT TRIP THAN DISNEY, SINCE IT IS THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH, AND YOU ARE DEFINATELY NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1:de vil

We have stayed at CSR once and had a positive experience although we encountered a small problem. We had brought our own sheets and asked that the maid service not change the bed linen. We called every morning to remind them of this request. Well, the bed linen was changed. The manager on duty seemed annoyed (not with us) that this had happened and was very apologetic. Obviously they reimbursed us for the sheets (they were fairly expensive) and also did not charge us for one night's stay to compensate us for our trouble. I think they handled the problem fairly and graciously.

I also agree with MickeyMamma. Considering the volume of people Disney deals with, problems are going to happen (more so during peak times). I'm sorry so many happened to you all on one trip. Next time I think I'd be very clear as to what my expectations were and try to prevent situations where problems could arise.

We found CSR to be a lovely resort. We didn't have any problems with noise and we were in the room at different hours throughout the day. Actually, we found it to be a rather quiet resort and would consider staying there again. We were there in May (not super busy but not slow either).

I hope your next visit goes better (doesn't seem like it could get any worse). BTW, we love WL too. That is our favorite resort.

I am really sorry that you had such a bad trip. If you aren't going to call Disney or write another letter, then stop complaining. Unless you tell them what happened, they'll never be able to fix it. It's hard for me to believe that all this happened to you. I can accept a "heads up" about something that happened on a WDW vacation, but this is just Disney bashing.

Hey there. Actually this is a forum about Walt Disney World. The good and the bad, right? Everyone is allowed to have an opinion and voice it right? This is what I am doing. Voicing my opinion. The true matter of the the fact is that this resort is not qualified to be a "moderate" resort and should stop being sold that way. Sure. It's a pretty place but... It's too darn big. Taking 10-15 minutes to get to the room from the front desk following behind a dude on a golf cart is not right. Having the grounds maintained on a week day with lawn mowers and blowers early in the morning is not right. Not letting the customer know their room is a smoking room is not right. Not letting the customer know the room was just painted the week earlier is not right. Having a moderate resort room have paper thin walls to the point that you hear the other rooms normal conversation, tv, and snoring is not right. Telling the customer that they have a heated pool when it is not, is not right. Delivering your baggage to the wrong room and leaving it there is not right. No, the place was NOT overly crowded or busy either and it really seemed that the crowds had already left as the parking lots were not filled up. Look, I have the right to warn other people about this place. I think it is nasty due to all the problems we had. Had it been one problem, that didn't compound over and over, i'd sum it up to not being a big deal. But this place has a long ways to go and others need to know about it and go somewhere else. As for contacting them, I did. I took the time to type the sucker up and physically email them to the different executives of Disney. There is nothing else I can do as I refuse to beg for their apologies. I should not have to do that. They had their chance to make things right and they didn't so know I want the world to know my situation. I appreciate everyone that has been concerned. I hope our experience helps you make a better decision. For those that already have been to Coronado Springs and like it, great. I hope that you never have to come back out here and say, "Shoot, you were right". That's all. :dazed

OMG, I am simply replying to people. Is that so wrong? Why have a forum if one can not post something and talk about it. If I were Disney bashing don't you think that I would be saying, "Disney SUCKS" and don't anyone ever go there? I am not Disney bashing. I love Disney. I practically grew up there and my children will experience the same by going at least once a year. IT IS A HEADS up and that is all. Get a grip. Sorry for replying and talking about it all.

I understand your opinion, and respect it completely. I was not saying that you are not entitled to an opinion about Coronado Springs. I was merely letting other people (specifically Rene) know that CS should not be overlooked because of one person's bad experience.

I truly hope that your next Disney experience is better.

HEY I HAVE AN IDEA!!!

How about everyone drop this thread. People are getting way to heated about someone expressing their opinion. llbarnes had a bad experience and wanted to vent now that that is done lets all move on there are many other threads here that we should devote our time to so lets move on.

P.S. llbarnes, welcome to Disney Central I'm sure if you give us a chance you will find that you really like it here. We are all just huge disney fans and would defend the house of mouse with our lives if we had to.:laugh :) :laugh
