Hi nancyk! Welcome to DC! I think you have made some great choices and you will love it. As others have said, Sept. is a great time to go. We are contemplating a trip the last week of Sept. ourselves.

You are going to have a wonderful time in September. The weather is really mild and lovely for the most part and the crowds, like everyone else has told you, are pretty light :) You are from Quebec? We spent part of our summer in the Laurentians (sp?) last year and it was fabulous. Old Quebec was fun to explore (though quite a car trip from our cabin) You live in a very beautiful part of the world :) Our daughter is studying French and we thought it would be lots of fun for her to practice - she had a ball and so did we.
