Wilderness Lodge questions

We're staying at Wilderness Lodge for the first time this May and we have reserved a woods view room. Any advice in terms of what parts of Wilderness Lodge to stay in? Are there any "views" that are better than others?

With WL, I usually suggest the wing oposite of the Villas, so you aren't looking at them your whole trip. If you don't mind the walk, the rooms at the far end of the hall will have a good view of Bay Lake. Other than that, they are all about the same. Request a room on the higher floors, it will be less noisy, and the view will be better.

You can see a map of the WL here:

You are going to love WL. We stayed there for the first time in July and just loved everything about it. We had a standard view booked but we were upgraded for free to a court yard view when we checked in. We were right off the beautiful lobby, it was perfect for us.

The transportation at WL is great. The boat to MK is such an enjoyable trip. The busses also worked well for us, in 8 days we only really waited for 1 bus, all of the other waits were under 10 minutes.

Be sure to ask about being a "Flag Family" during check in. It is a wonderful experience.

You are going to love WL! It's a great resort...just stunning! I was fortunate and got an upgrade to courtyard by sheer luck. It's something you can ask to have when you check in. It can't hurt to say "do you have any upgrades available?" The room I had looked right out into the pool area and I could see the lagoon and the Water Pagent. Where ever you room is, you will love it there. You must feed the fish while waiting for the boat to Magic Kingdom. They litterly jump out of the water to get the food. My DD got the biggest kick out of it. Some of our DC memebers got the chance to be a "flag family". Try and request that too.
