Okay, I've thought about this hard! lol...Its not important at all to me! I like walking and when I go to WDW I think of it as a great way to get some extra excercise in! lol...with all the walking. If I had my preference I like rooms overlooking areas that people frequent. I am a people watcher and I love walking outside my room (if there is a balcony) or sitting by the window looking out at the main hall area or the restaurants or pools. Just watching everyone enjoy themselves. But when it comes down to it I dont care. I usually only sleep and get ready to go places in the room so it's not a big deal.

I voted very important. I know everyone can't have their perfect location, but, with all we pay and research I couldn't accept a room location that wasn't at least what we expected.

GARDEN VIEW
HI, We always request a water view. Tthis is very conveinent going back and forth to the pool areas, and at night if we want to take a late dip it's usually just outside our door. Last year our patio at OKW looked out onto the golf course I played during our stay and that was pretty cool. Disney is always very good at handling these type of requests. This year were staying at Boardwalk, and already have confirmed a garden or water view. Hope this helps. ;)

I think location is important. I mean you can't be so far from the bus stop that you get tired before you go. However, I don't care if I have a view of the pool or not. so I said somewhat important.
Guess what DCers this is my 100th post! Thanks to all who post and give great info. I look forward to reading more! Keep 'em coming!:) :) :) :) :) :)

We always request a room with a "water", usually pool view. My dh likes to sit in the room sometimes and just watch people having fun when he is tired and isn't playing himself.
I like to be as close to the amenities as possible because we do so much walking in the parks; I want to be close to everything at the hotels.

Laurengold we stayed right across from the resort pool at the Magnolia House (I think that is what it is called). If I'm wrong, I resend. It really was the perfect location. |

I voted somewhat important because it depends if we go with my mom she cant walk far without sitting down and well when we stayed at music the parking lot was the farthest I have seen from our room and she had to use her breathing machine every time we went back to the room but if its just me and richard I dont care that much because I can walk to everything and who stays in your room all day we dont

I voted for "Very Important", mainly because it's nice to be close to the bus stop, food court, etc. I don't really care about the view, because we don't really spend that much time in the room. We just loved PO-FQ, because it is not that spread out, and anyplace you wanted to go in the resort was not that far. I agree...when you put a lot of research into a trip, as most of us do, you'd like to be able to get what you expect! ;)

Very Important
:D
We have been going to Disney for years, and over these years we enjoy our stays between 2-3 different hotels mostly two now per visit...they are planned out a year in advance and we pay for these locations, because that's what we like! After 16 trips to Disney and counting...you get to know the niche(s) you like and don't like and what's important to you and your family. We have had some incidents over the years, so I have reason to where we stay and location location location is more important to our family! Enjoy and pixie dust to you all! ![]() |

it seems the majority does care about location :) But how many of you would take any room at any WDW resort if it were free *grin* .
Mari annie, you have me curious about the "incidents". I just had an idea for another poll

I have to admit, as much as I love to request a certain room location (and of course get it! LOL) it is not that important to me. Even if I don't like a room at the beginning of my trip for some reason, I always grow to like it quickly. And honestly, if I'm getting to stay onsite in WDW, I should not be complaining!
Oh, and Tink...heck yeah, I'd take ANY room at WDW if it were free! :D
