I got a Nice surprise greeting from WDW

I'm not sure if it's because I'm staying at a deluxe, or because we booked so early, or because they realize I've been there far too many times in the past couple of years, but I got the sweetest surprise in the mail today...
A trifold postcard featuring a nice little painting of Goofy trying to paint out my name. Above his head, the baloon caption reads, "...How many 'R's are there in Anthony...?" ('course, that's my full name)
When I opened it, I was met with a nice postcard type photo of the CR, and a welcome message, welcoming me to the class of service I'll be receiving there (!?!). There were additional tips and suggestions printed on the inside.
Now I know this is a marketing gimmick. I know it's not so hard to personalize this stuff.. But it sure brought a smile to my face (and here I was coming home with a headache!). This is the second such welcome I've gotten since reserving my stay, and actually, I LIKE it. Makes me feel welcome and even more excited about my upcoming trip.
If I'd never been to WDW before, I'd be totally amazed at the nice warm welcomes I'm getting. I'm impressed and surprised and happy. SO I suppose you could call that a little Magical!
I hope my stay is as delightful as these postcards.

I got a similar postcard before my jan/feb trip. It added to the excitement and was a nice added touch by WDW. It had little details about AKL and packing suggestions if I remember correctly. If it were my first trip ever, I would have been really excited with the postcard. I was thrilled and it was only my 6th trip...lol

We got one too last year when we stayed in the WL. After the Goofy postcard, we got one with details about the WL and several other personalized notes. I was thrilled with each one and my kids were very excited. It was a wonderful little piece of magic!:) :)

We got something like that before our July trip at WL. It was fun and really added to the excitement of our trip.

We also got one before our Oct. trip. It really made my 6 yr old a happy camper. I also sent a postcard home before we left from "Mickey and Minnie" saying how glad they were to see her and her brother again. (Her classmates were there then too, and we did the same for them - now the whole 1st grade wants to go to WDW to get cards from the Mouse!)

It's the little things in life that make us happy!

I really enjoy getting these also.
I received 2 of them since I changed my reservation - one for the first time we were booked at POR and another after we changed to the Contemporary.

Uh Oh!

Our trip is supposed to be a surprise for the kids. Looks like we'll have to be extra vigilant watching the mail come in.

It's a good problem to have tho. ;)

I got a whole packet in the mail welcoming me back to the Pop Century. I guess I got it because this will be the third time this year that I will be staying there.

When I surprise everyone with a trip to WDW, I send all info to my PO Box. With the teenagers too lazy to check the PO box, I can safely have it sent there until I can pick it up.

We have a 7 & 11 (8 & 12 by the time we go) year old.

Both are pretty sharp, but neither gets any mail, so they don't care. They're never home alone, so I think it's safe this time around.

We're flying out at 6:30am so we're planning on waking them up at 3:30 in the morning. Sometimes is fun to torture your kids and surprise them at the same time. ;)

Oh, Matt! They are soooo going to kill you!!! :) I'd be complaining all the way ... until I set foot in the park. :) I'm STILL complaining about having to get up too too too early for 8'oclock flights!
