Swimming pools

We are staying at coranado springs resort and are wondering if we would be allowed to use the swimming pools at other resorts ie. polyneseian/contempary etc.
If this was so we could lunch and swim at different resorts.
Thanks Caz!

Resort pools are for the exclusive use of their hotel guests, so no, you will not be able to use a pool at another resort.

Actually I heard a diff side of the story, Disney actually encourages resort guests to try the other pools and restaurants of other resorts.
By doing so the guest staying at lets say the all stars can see how it is to be at say WL or Poly. Then maybe next time they will stay there.
Plus if thats not the case, you're staying at CSR right?? You have a disney Key card, who's to say you're not staying at the resort your at?? Most of all who's going to question you being at the pool??
Ah wait I see it all now *dreamlike fade out*

CM: Excuse me, are you staying at this resort?
You: Sure I am, why would I be using your pool if I wasnt?
Cm: Well lets see your room key what room are you staying in?
You: Here ya go, I'm in room 154
CM: *Thinking* (Well this is a Disney key card and I think this
resort has a room 154)
*speaking* Well everything looks in order, sorry to trouble
you, have a magical day
You:Ha ha the sucker bought it, now I can use the resort pool
and have lunch here!!!! SCORE!!!!!!

And thats how it will all go down!:laugh

your not really supposed to go pool hopping. They encourage you to use other resortaurants but not their pools. Certain places like the yaht and beach club resort you need to scan your card to get into the pool area.

Afraid not downsouthtigger.

The resort you are staying at is coded in numbers on your resort id. The recreation staff at the pools know how to interpret the coding to see if you are a registered guest at that resort hotel.

Every resort pool I have been to now has signs stating that the pools are for the exclusive use of their hotel guests. The only exception is DVC members when they are allowed to pool hop. You can also swim at any of the pools at a sister resort (All-Star Music, Sports, and Movies are sister resorts; as are POR and POFQ).

In the early years, resort guests were allowed to pool hop. But that was in t he days when there were only three or four resorts, so no big deal. Since the Kingdom has grown, the ability to swim in other resorts' pools has been abolished.
You may indeed be able to "sneak" your way in, but I wouldn't recommend that.

I am not promoting it, but what can they do other than ask you to leave the pool?? Can they kick you out of your resort???
