Vero beach resort?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I am not really sure where to post this so I decided to put it here!!
We are considering changing our plans from DL to WDW this Sept. However, my husband wants some beach time not just Disney time(Crazy I KNOW!!) So of course I am trying to incorporate both!! Imagine that!! However, I know nothing about the Vero Beach resort!! Is it Disney in name only, or are there character interactions there? Are there character meals or shows or anything like that?? How far is Vero beach from WDW?? Is it a nice resort??? Any info on this is greatly appreciated!!!

This should help you out:
http://dvc.disney.go.com/disneyvacat...eroBeachResort I know I've read one trip report where someone was disappointed with the lack of character interaction etc., but it seems that you have to go into it with the attitude that it's a resort run by Disney, rather than a Disney vacation. I need to explore this website myself as we're thinking of maybe trying the place out too and I know soooo little about it! :) (There's brief Vero Beach sections in the planning material you can get for free from Disney through their website -- that's all I've ever seen/read about it.)

We went to Vero beach as part of our honeymoon.
It was at the time when The Wizard of Oz was released in the movies (1998) We went to the movies and we were the only people there. There's not really a lot to do there - If you need to chill for a few days it's great. I think it's about 2 hours from WDW ![]() |
