NOTE: I've heard the Luau ain't all that. If you can move it upstairs to Ohana, you might be better off.

Sunday: May 9
Lunch: 12:00 Brown Derby

Might be a bit much for lunch, but that's just me.

Tuesday: May 11
Dinner: 7:40 Rose & Crown, Hopefully to see Illuminations

That's good. The English aren't known for their food. ;) Actually, Rose & Crown is pretty good. Fish and chips are excellent.

Wednesday: May 12
Breakfast: OPEN

Dude, order room service for breakfast and enjoy the "surroundings." You're on your honeymoon for gosh sakes!
Be creative and "sleep" late that morning.
[I don't know how to be any more subtle than that. ;) ]

Thursday: May 13
Park to Visit: Magic Kingdom
Breakfast: OPEN
Lunch: OPEN
Dinner: 6:30 Micky's Back Yard BBQ

Personally, I think this day is all wrong. It should be completely open (assuming you have a park hopper). You should go to Epcot or the Boardwalk for lunch and try to get a PS for Portobello's or Fulton's at DTD for dinner.

Friday: May 14
Dinner: 8:10 Narcoosies, hope to see Wishes there, Cali Grill was full

Excellent choice. Narcoosies can be very romantic. Go for a walk after dinner.

Saturday: May 15
Park to Visit: Not sure yet, will be flying out later that afternoon.

I think Animal Kingdom is a great last day park for the morning. You really can get everything done that you want to see by noon or 1pm.

As far as La Nouba, if you follow my advice for a DTD dinner on Thursday, then that would be your logical choice.

One last thing. Consider room-service breakfast on at least one other morning. <nudge, nudge> :)

"One last thing. Consider room-service breakfast on at least one other morning. <nudge, nudge> "

HaHa Matt ;) We are staying in a concierge room, so breakfast will be right down the hall every morning in the lounge :D The days I reserved an actual breakfast is just for the experience of the location I made the PS.

As for as the cost of the places I picked, I figured that since I (well my family and friends since they gave us cash as gifts") was paying for the Silver add on to the Dreammaker packages, I would try to get the most bang for my buck. I figure we will base our honeymoon on all the "Fs" that newlyweds enjoy on their honeymoon... "Fun, Food, and Frolicking" to keep it clean

The Luau is one of the two things my new bride picked that we "had to do." She only picked two things, so I had better get them haha. We have O'hanas for Wednesday night.

As far as your downtown idea, I will check that out, sounds pretty good.

Hmmm... I wonder what the other "F" would be? :devil

Anyhoo... yeah. If you have the Silver Plan, then you get the good seats at La Nouba using wishes. Portobello's is our #1 favorite restaurant.

Fulton's is excellent, albiet pricey. But if you're using wishes....

Also, for good steak, you should try Don Shula's at either the Dolphin or the Swan. I get them confused.

OH!! BREAKFAST!! You HAVE to do Spoodles on the Boardwalk!!!

It's actually really cool, walking along the quiet boardwalk in the morning.

Have a great time.

And Congratulations!

Well, I don't really have any suggestions...you're already doing the 2 things I would recommend ('Ohana & Hoop-De-Doo) but I just wanted to say have a wonderful honeymoon! We will be honeymooning approximately the same time as you, all the way across the country in Disneyland! :) :heart

You have some great PS there and are going to get every dime's worth out of that silver package. Pleas post about the Luau dinner. I am thinking of trying that one out and am anxious to get some opinions. You are going to love Ohana, Hoop-de-do and all the others...great picks BTW. I would leave your open ones open adn make some picks when you are down there. Give you and your new bride some time ot do the 3 f's...nudge..nudge wink wink...lol

Hello, To answer the Shula question all you have to remember is the name of the team he coached. THE DOLPHINS!!

Shula's is said to be good, it is also very expensive ($$$$) and I heard that ressies are required. Being the diehard Phin fan that I am, I checked into it when we were there in Oct. 2003, and found out that it is booked a year out, so I would say that it is probably a no go. I also don' t think it is on the silver plan, but I don't really know.

However, I was going to suggest the Flame Tree Bar-B-Que or Tusker House in AK. They are both counter service, but serve top-notch food.

In MK, on that other day that you have no lunch scheduled, did you consider Tony's Town Square Restaurant. It's Italian eating a-la-Lady and the Tramp. It's on the right side of Main Street right after you come in the gate. It might be a good idea to make a PS for it. Might be romantic, you could share a meatball.

I also agree with going to the Boardwalk and eating at Spoodles or at the Boardwalk Bakery. You could also get some extra goodies to take back to the room and share later. I like taking a leisurely stroll on the boarwalk or renting a surrey, it so nice and relaxing and romantic, especially on a honeymoon. Enjoy!

These are just some suggestions. I hope they help.

One thing I notice is that that's an incredible amount of dining - remember that your restaurant time totals will be an hour to two and a half hours, and that restaurant portions will be very large. It's rough to consume so much early in the week and still keep up a busy schedule. My only caution would be to not become a slave to your PS schedule and have back-up choices to your Silver Plan.

Another thing would be to take advantage of BWI and the concierge offerings - your "Open" mornings could be easily taken care of there.

What are the other options you're using with your Silver Plan?

"What are the other options you're using with your Silver Plan?"

We will probably use some of the wishes to buy tickets to La Nouba also, and maybe a spa visit. You can use them for boat rentals, golf, etc etc, but that doesn't interest us. Most of our gifts were money gifts, a co-worker even gave us 100 disney dollars, and we get the extra 100 disney dollars with the disney visa new cardholder package. Since we will have to pay very little, if any, our of our own pockets, we are going to splurge like fish in a tank given too much food. (but not die haha )

I think that since this is our honeymoon, and neither of us have really been there before, aside from my one day visit in 1996, we are going to take it easy. We are not going to let ourselves get absorbed into the rat race for rides and such. We are going to get to the parks whenever we get there, ride what rides we can, enjoy some great food and a great hotel, and see what we like about each park, location, resort. That way, when we go back in the next year or two for a more "vacation" type trip, we will know what we want to do and not have to rely so much on other people's experience.

Re: Our Honeymoon PSes, any thoughts?

Bigjon... the fish at Rose & Crown is so good! And at Brown Derby, order a Poinsettia for your cocktail! Even though it won't be on the menu, order it anyway! And if I were going with you (which I wish I were!) I would switch your reservation to O'hana upstairs at the Poly... it is WAY better (food and entertainment) than the luau!
