Tipping and other questions

I have searched everywhere, or at least I think I have ;) , to find answers to my questions.

What is a respectable amount to tip mousekeeping for the POR? We'll be staying 10 nights.

Does the resort have ICE Machines?

I hope it's not to tacky to buy a styrofoam cooler to have in the room for breakfast items, like yogurt, bagels, cream cheese, fruit and power bars etc...

TIA

I leave a 3-4 dollar tip each day (more if the room is realy messy) for mousekeeping.

The resorts do have ice machines... When you check in, they will give you a map of the resort (with all of the room numbers) It will also show where the ice machines are... Usually at the junction of the hallways and or stair cases.

I know of other people that bring coolers with them to do the same thing. just be careful that it does not break and cause a small flood in the room....

Enjoy!!!

Tim

There are ice machines.

You can have a cooler. We had one but they gave us a refrig. because we had medicine.

I'm not sure on tipping mousekeeping. I think it's a dollar or two each day. You can leave it in an envelope on the sink.

Hope I could help..

When it comes to tipping, we tip $1 per guest, per day. (Obviously simply because the room gets messier the more people you have!) I didn't have an envelope at the time, so I took the little card regarding "hanging up your towels" or whatever, flipped it over and wrote, "Thank You Mousekeeping!" and put the tip underneath it each day. I noticed that by the 3rd or 4th day, our mousekeeper had written "Thank You" with a smiley face on the other side of the card. Made me want to tip even more! :D

Wow, 10 nights @ POR? Have a wonderful time! Be sure to tell us exactly what you thought about the resort, cuz I am considering booking a room there for our holiday trip! :)

Re: Tipping and other questions

we make our own envelopes on the computer,

for; MOUSEKEEPING

( a clipart picture here )

from DISNEY GUEST

we put in $1.00 for each person, and do this everyday. we have had maids thank us for doing it every day, as they do not work every day and they get the tips they deserve.
