We can get 1 room at the POR or 2 rooms at the POP CENTURY for about the same price!!
We know from experience that the POR is great!! But the POP century looks fun too!!! Give us your opinions DCers!!!! ![]()

Re: What would you do?????
I have to agree...two bathrooms! Go for the two rooms. I would rather have the space. You can request adjoining rooms and keep the door open in between and have a deluxe size room with four beds, two bathrooms, two TV's, two table etc....Winner!!!! I hate feeling crowded and would go with Pop if I were in your shoes. Just my opinion, but I can't see the other even being a choice. Think of the peace of mind of being able to get more than one person in the shower at a time and two TV's for watching with no disagreements about what to watch. My favorite is the bed space...lol I hate sharing!

Re: What would you do?????
Yeah after reading the ages. I would definetly say 2 rooms at PC. It is fun and it gives you a way to put the kids to bed and then stay up for a little while longer. Plus you have 2 bathrooms!! If you do go with PC, ask for 70's A because it is soooo close to bus stops, which would be nice with the younger children. Plus ask for the 1st floor so you don't have to worry about the stairs or waiting for the elevator.

Re: What would you do?????
After staying at PC, you will probably get better "Disney" quality service at the POR. While we love going to Disney...what can be bad about a vacation to WDW, I have to say that I will not stay at PC again.
The old addage, you get what you pay for seems to be true at Disney as well. The "issues" that we encountered at PC do not seem to happen to folks that stay at Deluxe or Moderate Resorts. Maybe I have come to expect too much from Disney, but hey, it's Disney right? So my vote, for what it is worth, would be POR. But shoot, as long as you go to WDW, you can't go too wrong. ![]() |

Re: What would you do?????
Yeah, I totally agree with you sydmacsmom. I encountered lots of problems there too. I am not sure if I would stay at a Value again. The Moderates aren't usually too much more than a Value, but it seems there is much more of a personalized service.

Re: What would you do?????
POR for SURE!;-)
We stayed at POP for a couple days, it was cute, but it's like the AS, only new, not again! The mgt aren't up to par-the front desk didn't help us out-I mean we booked over 6 months ago for a POOL VIEW (paid for it too) and wanted the 60's bldg when we checked in (after driving from MA-MCO mind you), The front desk (clerk)as I would refer to him as NOT a CM-- ;-( said it's only a room what's the biggie, the biggie is I paid, it's our* family trip and that's what we wanted we were told it was sold out the 2 weeks we were there---2 days of cuteness was enough for us---really 1 1/2 back to the Poly and POR never again, you get what you pay for---sure we could all use an extra bathroom- but the service of Disney, has changed at these Value--and so hasn't the staff-you get what you pay for, when you pay more, you get what DISNEY used to be years ago, and that's what we want, service (professional) help (if we need it) and feeling like going to Disney for a family vacation is a great place to be.... Not out to offend anyone on the boards, just we had a bad time at POP and wouldn't return. My kids 15 and 10 weren't impressed, and said they couldn't wait to move to the other hotels!!! ![]() |

Re: What would you do?????
In terms of the Value resorts, I've REALLY been paying attention and here's the pattern that I see. If you go during a busy season, the Values won't be terrific. It *seems* that the Values get staffed with more junior CM's and when it's busy, the mgmt has to deal with a lot of... well... crap from other guests.
I can imagine that when the parks are crowded, the Values won't really provide a great deal of the Disney respite, while when it's less crowded, you don't feel the need to go back to the resort. Also, if you *care* about the view, the Values are a bad place to stay, because there isn't a good view anywhere and when you have a "good" view, it's probably going to be noisy. With that, I'm sticking to my guns. For a young family, get two adjoining rooms at POP (or All Stars) and make sure to get a "standard" view room in the back (rooms 21-44), preferably on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Hope this helps.

Re: What would you do?????
Matt, the time that we were at POP, in February, is said to be one of the slowest times, and we went during a time that is considered Value season. We were there from Sunday through Friday so we even missed the busy weekend crowds. While I appreciate your opinion, it seems that we experienced the POP underpar service during a slow time as well.
Some people need to stay a value to get to Disney, and as I said earlier, if that is where you are, great, have a wonderful time. WDW is awesome, just don't go expecting that over the top Disney service that most of us have grown to love and expect from Disney. If there is away that you can stay in the Moderates or even a Deluxe, than I think that it is well worth the extra bit of money that you would have saved at POP. I guess also important is, how much time are you really planning to spend at your resort. For us, we don't typically spend too much time at the resort. ![]() |

Re: What would you do?????
I'm thinking 2 rooms would be better, but then I've never stayed at either resort so I can't comment on the quality of the accomodations.
