Hi all,
We usually stay at CBR but this time we (I should say he) decided to try out the Poly. It is my understanding that buses to/from DTD & MGM stop at the GF and Contemporary. Is this tedious? I'm so familiar with CBR & I don't like change so this vacation is really beginning to worry me.

I've never stayed at the Poly, but I can offer this suggestion:
If the buses DO make multiple stops, you could always take the monorail to MK and take a bus to DTD from there. That one doesn't make any other stops.

We stayed at the Poly in December, 2002. On our trip to Downtown Disney, the bus did stop at the Grand Floridian, and then went directly to DD. On the way back, it stopped at the Contemporary, and then went to the Poly. We just hopped of at the Contemporary for dinner and rode the monorail back to the Poly.

there are no BUSSES FROM OR TO THE MK OR DTD that leave from the MK or DTD. There are also no busses from the TTC to DTD or DTD to the TTC. bus service for the MK resorts has been funny in the past few months. its hard to say what they will be doing during your stay but I have seen the it where the POLY is paired with only the GF and the CONT and WL are together and FW has its own bus. then I've also seen the WL and FW paired up and the CONT, poly, and GF all together. its still not a very long ride over there though. however if all resorts are together the people that get on the bus at the GF will most likely be standing.

You will love the Poly!! My favorite WDW resort hands down!!! I have stayed at the CBR and the Poly. We never took busses from CBR so I cannot compare them for you. We took the bus from the front of the resort and if I remember correctly, it took about 30 min with the stops. Coming back seemed like it took longer b/c we had to wait about 15-20 min at DtD for a Poly bus. If there is a direct DtD bus from TTC, you can take the walkway to TTC and catch it and save wait time. We asked the concierge what time the bus to DtD picks up and he told us what the previous day schedule was so we walked right out front waited about a min and it came.

Since everyone else has answered your traveling question, I just wanted to agree with dab that, hands down, the Poly is my favorite resort. I too, have stayed at both the CBR and the Poly, I think you will feel that there is no comparison between the 2 after you have stayed there. It is great. Nothing beats having the monorail right there, either. You will have a great time!!!

Thanks all for your responses. This is a very special vacation for us so I just need everything to be just perfect. From the sounds of things, it will be. Now, just 3 more anxious weeks of packing.
