Disney77, welcome to DisneyCentral! Stormalong Bay at the Beach and Yacht Club resorts is in my opinion the best pool in all of WDW. They have a wonderful section for little kids that is just like the beach. It has a big sandbar in the middle of the pool, and some water all around, but it doesn't get deeper than about 12 inches. You still have to keep an eye on them, but it is a great place to sit and build sandcastles, and still play in the water. There is also a special area just for kids out on the boat in the lagoon. There is a little waterslide and small pool just for kids under 5. They are not allowed on the big slide, so they get the little one all to themselves. There is also a lazy river, a whirlpool, and the bottom of the entire pool is covered in sand. A very unique pool, and one of the funnest places in all of WDW.

Most of the deluxe resorts have great pools, all with water slides and other features. I really like Wilderness Lodge, it feels like you are swimming in a river. Even the moderates have some nice pools, but they get crowded, and aren't as nice as the ones at the deluxe resorts.

One option is to stay at one of the Disney Vacation Club resorts like the Boardwalk Villas or even the Beach Club Villas. By staying there, you get a free pass to all of the pools in WDW with the exception of the Beach Club (unless you are staying there). We usually stay at Old Key West, and visit a different pool each day.
