Does the Poly have thoses refillable mugs too??? If so how much are they and where can you refill them at the resort??

Yes the Poly has it's own mug. I think you can get it at Capt. Cooks, for 13.00 I think and you refill it at the same place. They are open 24 hours.

that's one nice thing about the polynesian- i don't think any of the other resorts boast a 24 hour food location.

The fast food location at AKL, The Mara, closed at 11:30 each night and reopened at 6 am. Sassagoula floatworks at POFQ, even though they didn't let you get food till 6, did have coffee available at 5:30 am.

Ok I'm staying at the po-fq for 5 nights and I just want a mug for not only refills but souveniers. Following up the 5 nights is 2 more nights at AKL, in which I would love a mug to, just for a souvenier. I'm not an avid coke drinker, but when I've stayed at hotels in the past I usually end up buying a 20 oz here and there. Anyways thats not my question, I'm getting off point, eh like I usually do.
OK I'm staying po-fq, and getting a mug there, we're going to Boma one night before we stay at AKL, to check it out. While there I was going to go to Mara and just pick up a AKL mug to. Since I've seen lots of guests refill their mugs from other resorts at the resort their staying and the fact that I will stay at AKL later, would this be wise?
I was hoping to refill both mugs at the places we're staying at. PLus this is both Ashley and my first time being at a moderate and deluxe resort, so I wanted the mug souveneirs, oh and you know I get my cm discount on em, so they're not the full 11 bux for me. I just wanted to know everyone's opinion. I know it's supposed to be resort specific and for only the length of stay, but I know that a lot of cm's don't care that much and lotsa other people do it.

This question is always a hugely debated issue on all the disney boards. What we did was buy 1 mug at POFQ, (plus I brought an old mug from when it was just Port Orleans) where we stayed for 3 nights, then bought two more at AKL, where we stayed for 8 nights. (there were four of us on the trip, but we just shared). I saw tons of people filling mugs from other resorts, and I even got a coffee in my old mug while standing beside a CM. She never even batted an eye. If anyone had said anything, then of course I would not have done it again, but I honestly don't think the CMs working in the food courts care. (please don't flame me too bad)

crystalrp, do the mugs actually say POFQ now, or do they still just say Port Orleans? We have a couple of Port Orleans mugs that we were going to take with us when we go to French Quarter in June. I think I might feel funny about using them if they've changed the design.

Please,people,USE YOUR MUGS!!! Why should you pay 12 dollars every time you move from resort to resort? If Disney was serious about people not using an AS mug at,say,AKL,then they wouldn't have the soda island outside the area that you pay for your food.

Totally new mugs. New design and color. Honestly, people were there using mugs from every resort imaginable. No one looked twice at them. Believe me, I am so honest even my MOTHER has told me I am TOO honest!! I did not feel bad using these other mugs. As I said, I often filled them while standing right beside CMs...nobody cared.

When we stayed at POR in 10/03, there was a gentleman getting a drink who was using a Dixie landings mug. O.K. POR hasn't been DL for years, if it bothered anyone I never saw it. We are taking our mugs back this year, and using them. I have no intention of not using my mug unless a CM tells me I can't use it. I paid a lot of money for this mug and I believe that Disney expects us to use and reuse it. Buy the mug and use it people, and don't give it another thought. Disney isn't.

Yes, I saw many people use mugs from years past or from a different resort. A CM even came up to re-fil the hot chocolate and there were many people waiting for HC that had MANY different kinds of mugs. Seriously, why would they care? Maybe if there was a Disney bigshot at the food court he/she might say something but what can they do to you? Forbid you to vist WDW again, doomed to only go to 6 flags or Universal Studios?

I know that guy with the DL mug paid less for his mug than I paid for my POR mug, and he was still using it, so if they cared they would have made him buy a new mug and they weren't so they don't care. Get over the mug issue people. Buy a mug, use it, take it home, bring it back to whatever resort your staying at, and use it again for years to come. It really is a non-issue with Disney. They get a lot more money out of you than the cost of that piddly mug.

Oops, I didn't mean to take over the thread with this issue. I think I got my question answered though.
Anways it's true if they did care the soda stations wouldn't be outside the pay area.
I heard they were thinking of doing the bar code scan like the mugs at BB, don't recall if TL was trying that too. I also heard that didn't work too well. I have wondered if you could use other non-resort mugs though, since many are very similar. I know the mug at BB (which you can get instead of your $2 locker rental) looks very similar to a resort mug. That could be why they give you a sports bottle instead now.
I also have the feeling that cm's dont want to bother a guest either, we know how much you paid for that mug, so go ahead.
I was just wondering if there really was a punishment if you get caught. For me I'm even more worried, since I know it could go 2 ways. First, others cm's would think, "well he's a cm so ok thats cool, prob just got off work." Or on the other hand,"Whats that CM doing refilling a mug from another resort?? If the guests see him doing that...thats just bad show." Then I get written up.....
I know how can they tell if you're a CM or guest? Well aside from my CM ID, which I cannot show onstage anyways, it may be my cast ID lanyard? I wear it around my neck virtually religiously. Plus in the middle of the night when I'm wearin jammies and heading to the soda place before it closes, puttin on the lanyard with my Cm Id and Resort ID is way easier since jammies don't have pockets!
